well today i guess is beatles day on vh1 classic and i watch it because i like it and i'm enjoying it very much, but really right now 'imagine' is on and my favorite beatle is george but i've always loved john, and watching this really makes me love him more, no matter how many times i see it. he has such a beautiful mind, personality, he's attractive, why are there only one in a million? it's great he got to meet yoko and all so let me be yoko and i meet my john! high ramblings
I love John Lennon. I wish i would have been born mid-60's and i could have grown up in the 70's and been able to be there in that time.
Ive Imagine on dvd and I love it.Personally,I think The Beatles wouldve gone on for maybe another couple of years if John hadnt met Yoko.I can't stand her.
honestly i can't either... but i've disliked her more then i do now. the only reason i have any reason to enjoy her is because she made john happy, and john needed that, and they were truly made for each other. when you look at photos and videos of them together you can see the love just gleaming out of john and it is amazing. other then that... i have no reason to dig her.
Yeah, the ONLY good thing about Yoko,in my book, was that she made John happy. While filming Let it Be,she was ALWAYS around and John couldnt even visit the lav, without her tagging along.
john lennon was FAR from one in a million. outside of his work with the beatles, he didn't do anything very good imo. wait, theres an exception - i love the song "oh, yoko" but regardless, he was a fucking hypocrite and the lyrics to his songs were meaningless. imagine no possessions....yeah, good one look how few possessions he had :sifone:
i mean his personality... IIII feel it was one in a million, 6 billion people in the world which means there's another one like him somewhere... you have your opinion on him, me too
i didn't deny that, i just don't know what you're getting at specifically so i go on what i know. i'm not trying at all to diminish your opinion of him, just give my reasons for why i dislike him generally (btw, i am a george fan:cheers2 but i don't know much of anything about his personality, and don't feel i can divine such information from the little media regarding him i've been exposed to outside of his music... so what about his personality do you think is "one in a million" so to speak? i mean, i would just like to try to understand where you're coming from, even if i may or may not disagree in the end. currently i find him a disingenuous, hypocritical poseur...but again, i know VERY little outside of his music and his gratuitous wealth and status as a cultural icon. i don't know about his personality at all. i'd like to hear your reasoning. really.
the beatles have always been my favorite band, and always will be. I have every single album ever recorded by them and love almost every song. can't say that for any other band
