Has anyone ever tried this stuff. It's pretty cool. Take a couple melatonin and you will have the most vivid dreams of your life. Dreams so vivid that you can control them. You get some really deep sleep and wake up refreshed and ready for the day. It's completely safe in moderate doses as it also occurs naturally in the human body.

it doesnt even put me to sleep. there are a lot of wild claims made about this stuff in regards to sleep, but iirc studies show it to be about as effect in a test group as a placebo.

I get some deep ass sleep on this shit. I don't sleep longer though. I actually wake up earlier because I sleep so good.

It makes me "feel" sleepy, but really does nothing for my sleep. If anything it takes away from the normally crazy dreams I have almost every night.

seems that people forget that its a hormone; hormones dont cause anything, they just make body functions process with different priorities. melatonin shouldnt make you sleep, but rather put your body into sleep-mode for maximum use of sleep benefits, if you do sleep.

It is a hormone, but it's also a tryptamine. And it definitely makes me sleep great and gives me lucid dreams.

melatonin is great..the dreams are vivid..but often scary as hell..& dont take over 3 mg, anything over 3 mg can be harmful

Can it really be harmful? I've eaten 6mg-9mg on a regular basis for awhile, should I be worried?

you should cut back to the maximum recomended doe of 3..
remember its a hormone & your fuckin with your natural hormonal ballance by over using

in fact i'd recomend stopping use for secveral weeks before going back to 3

i dont think it would put ya in a coma or anything, but messin aroundd with hormonal ballances could have unexpected affects

what does it matter about the chemical structure if the chemical itself isnt a psychoactive drug? yes its a tryptamine, and it metabolises into DMT. but as itself, its just a hormone

First of all, studies have shown that continuous use of melatonin supplements can result in cancer. I forget which one but i remember my doc telling me that.

Second, like many people have said so far. Melatonin ain't s***. It's OTC! And even though trazodone is prescription, it ain't much better. Sure, trazodone will put you to sleep, but there's no "feeling good" or "vivid dreams" about it. To acheive such an effect, I would recommend either Ambien (Zolpidem), Lunesta, or Restoril (Temazepam). All three are Schedule IV controlled substances (like xanax, valium, ativan, darvocet, phentermine) and have very low potential for addiction. But they feel soooooooo good and if by the way if you fight it while you take a few you will trip balls

It's very psychoactive in my case. Like I said, I have some crazy ass dreams almost to the point that I seem to be tripping in my sleep. Just because something doesn't work for you doesn't mean that it doesn't work for me. I'm just telling about MY experiences.
