How important do you think it is to take time out of your day to just think or daydream. I can lay down and think deeply for long periods of time. I think it benefits me in a way but I'm trying to decide how.
It's very important to me personally. It tends to have a bit of a hypnotizing effect where, if you visualize something clearly and persistently enough, you become more likely to achieve them. Some may refer to this as "mind power", and exercise it to help achieve their goals. I'm naturally a daydreaming person anyway, so it's not hard for me to slip into that mental state and really lose track of time. I can leave for hours sometimes, lol. Some of my daydreams are really far-fetched like communicating with historical figures, but I love those ones. Some are more easily achievable like talking to friends about some specific (fun)topics. Romantic thoughts/daydreams are also my regular thing too, especially these days. I think, in the nutshell, they give me hope to cling onto when I feel like there's nothing I can cling onto, lol. Helps me cope with reality...in a way, LOL.
Yea, I have a lot of romantic thoughts too. My favorite daydreams are when I talk to an important political figure and tell him how fucked up the nation is and how we might go about making things better. I feel like me daydreams help me think in a way that I wouldn't in reality.
My daydreams often are about being interviewed by some sort of entertainment magazine people, or for a TV program. Or, performing in front of a HUGE audience with some really well-known musicians. That is, when I'm not thinking about someone special in my life, lol.
