I was at school today on my crunchies, slowly getting around, and as i was going up the elevator (which is off limits to students without disablilty's, or is suppose to be), there was this girl behind me who got on to. She asked me what i did, i told her, and then i asked her "you dont like to use the stairs?", and she said "im not allowed to use the stairs", and i responded "why not?", and she said "because im pregenant." I just said "Oh!...", and silently turned my head to the ground. At first i didnt really believe her, but behind her sweatshirt, her gut did seem a bit abnormally big...
i thought she was just fat at first...and also, i thought that girls who are still in school who get pregnant go to another school. A friend of mine who was pregnant acouple of years ago had to drop out of school for a year to go to another, i just found it shocking.
I have a friend who is pregnant. They only send the girls to other schools when they are like 1 month away from their date (at my school). I had another friend who was pregnant, but she miscarried. An ex-girlfriend of mine was pregnant and she chose to leave when she found out. After she had the child (beautiful baby girl) she came back. She gave the child up for adoption FYI.
yeah... it's crazy. i was talking to my grandpa's girlfriend earlier this week. she volunteers for this place where pregnant mothers can go to live and learn how to take care of their babies and stuff. she was telling me that one time she went to pick up this girl who was 13 from school to take her and her new baby to a doctors appointment. she was just trying to make conversation, so she asked the girl what the baby's name was. The girl answered, "question." Betty thought maybe the girl didn't understand so she asked again... and the girl said, "i named my baby question because i dont know who the father is." can you imagine? the girl was THIRTEEN! shoot.... i think i was still watching rugrats and playing with my friends in the street when i was 13... not having sex w/ that many people!
in your school, girls who are pregnant aren't allowed to use the stairs? is there a reason for that? is that like a liability insurance thing orrr maybe I'm just confused...yah so enlighten me
i guess its so the baby dosent get bumped by all the other students on the stairs, cause they are usually crowded. Thats the only logical reason i can come up with...i really dont know, im not the one thats pregnant
Last year, one of my friends was pregnant, and I knew of 3 others who were pregnant at the same time... its really fucking sad, there's nothing to do in the town so kids just get high and shag... the school teamed up with a local church (keep in mind that it's a public school), and instead of doing the smart thing (handing condoms out... which the nurse's office did when i first moved here), they've abandoned the condoms and are preaching abstinence.. at the same time they also have gotten rid of middle school baseball and softball and freshman girls basketball, and from what I hear are planning to do away with all freshman sports except wrestling. fucking idiots. it makes me want to stop homeschooling and go back so i could maybe do something about it... i contacted the school board last year, and apparently they're all idiot christians too who preach "sex before marriage is bad! bah you sinner!" and hang up the phone.
My school sent all the pregnant girls to an alternative school so they could say there were no teen pregnancies in the school.
My school newspaper did an article about the number of pregant girls at my school - Turns out right now we have 19 known pregnancies! "Babies having babies"... That's pretty fucked up i think. I could go on, but honestly i've already had this conversation so many times that i really don't feel like going into it all over again... Hope you get better soon!
i heard that theres this girl in my grade who is pregnant (14-15 years old), it might just be a rumor but its not too shocking for her. and theres a huge problem with meth in my area. this kid i knew (like 16-17 years old) is in rehab now because of it. its sad that so many kids are messing up their lives.
