Kinda worried please read

Ok so this has nothing to do withg Mj, but since it's here I post the most I just figured I'd put it here.

So today about 3 hours ago I go meet my friend\delear to score a nice quarter of hash. When I meet him he asks me if I wanted to go smoke shisha with him in a cafe nearby. I accepted since i useually dont get to much social anxiety in 1 on 1 situations and I really feel comfrotable with this guy for some reason...

anyway we head to a cafe we smoke shisha and start talking about drugs. We started talking about pills so he asks if I want to try trams. I told that I already did several times taking up to 200mg at a time with no effects. He doesnt believe me and says that 50 mg are enough to make him feel it so he offers me a 150mg tramadin for free ( the one that looks like a bar divided in 3 places) and tells me this will absolutly hit me. anyway I pop the 150 mg drink, some tea salute the guy and head back home...

20-30 minutes later just before reaching home I vomit, I am pissed since now I think the trams wont have any effects. coz they didnt have enough time to get in my system.

I come home, turn on the pc and start reading about the effects of tramadol on erowid and I stumble upon this:

it's basically the experience of person who was about to die because of taking 150mg tramadol ( which I did roughly 2 hours ago) and taking a daily 10 mg lexapro ( which I do aswell)...

I kinda freaked out coz she said the high was very enjoyable but later during the night she woke up in sweat, vomiting and having diarreah at the same time and . she really freaked out , she started screamin for her husband to help her coz she taught was going to die ( read the experience it's very short).

Later she made some research and found out she could have actually died that night. she found out tha combining these two drugs ( lexapro and trams) causes serotonin syndrome(sp) which can be fatal.

So, After being pissed for probably vomitting too early for the trams to have any effect now I hope I actually did get as much as possible of this stuff out of system in time for it to have no effect

what do you guys think should I be worried? oh and by the way I also took 1mg of xanax this morning which had absolutly no effect, I am just mentioning it in case it could make any difference?

 

youll be aight. tramadol is embarressingly weak.

Serotonin Syndrome happens when you overdose on MAOI's SSRI's, etc. It can happen when you mix those drugs with other drugs too, like opiates, for example.
I read this girls story, and it seems kind of silly..even though I hate to say that.
SS symptoms happen QUICK. They have a rapid onset.
Puking..well..get used to it, it happens on opiates.
Shitting your brains out, on the other hand, generally doesnt happen on opiates. Its usually the opposite, youre wishing you could shit your brains out but you just cant.

But, generally, if youre getting a serotonin storm, the symptoms dont creep up on you after a while, they hit you generally within minutes. So I really dont think you have a lot to worry about.

Dont psyche yourself out.

I did puke off of a 20mg methadone the other day, which normally wouldnt phase me but I think walking 5miles in 95 degree weather + opiates = vomit. I even puked when I smoked like..an eighth of opium which is also really weird..but again..I had been walking long distances in the heat.

as useual I didnt get any effects from tramadol and I dont seem to be experiencing anystrange symptons that could lead to SS. Since the onset should be quite quick and now it's been almost 4 hourse I guess I can say I dont need toworry anymore...

 

Honestly, no it really isnt :tongue:
Tramadol is by far the weakest synthetic opiate, with absolutley NO recreational potential. That is what this drug is made for, people in pain that dont want to get nauseas and high like you would with other opiates.
I have never, ever heard of someone getting sick off these. The mother of my son throws up on 5mg's of oxycodone becaues she has some stomach problems, and she was prescribed Tramadol for months, never got sick at all.

well you seem to be experienced with opiates and know what you are talking but I assure you that there are many ppl over here who use it recreationally. So I dont know maybe in order to get high you need a large does or soemthing?

I phoned the guy who gave the trams he told me that I probably puked coz It has been along time I didnt take any trams. maybe it was that or maybe just my weakass stomach.

 

Hm. Maybe it's because you were hot. Two nights ago, I finally scored some blue eggs. I hadn't had any in a long time. Probably a month, give or take a few days and still thinking that I could eat as many loratens as I used to, and I ate seven. Stayed outside on the backporch (in Alabama, about an hour inland from the beaches) and started sweating, so I started drinking these little wine cooler things and I threw up everywhere. So. I think it had to do with not having any in a while AND the weather was dismally, painfully hot.

 

I imagine that its possible to get high, in VERY large doses, but I;ve never cared to try.
Im not doubting you at all, everybody reacts differently to chemicals, its just that I've never heard of someone getting high from this particular one.
I also know people who have tried to take them recreationally, but its never worked. This is where my confusion comes in, sorry if I made you think I was doubting you, because I honestly wasnt. Im just confused

Or are you slangin 2 words into one, as in ten mg's of hydrocodone loratab?
Im just wondering because you also claim that you used to use heroin, but how can you not know the name of the drugs you use?

I've thrown up from tramadol. Of course, I usually take 1000mg or more of it. haha And it does have recreational value at those doses, especially when you lie down or sit back in a chair. The buzz kicks in hard as fuck when you get nice and relaxed.

 

And if she pukes from lortab, I'd hate to see her on some H.

 

The latter. I am slanging. Instead of saying Loratab-tens or Tens, I just say Loratens. All my friends say it. Everyone here that I talk to either says it or comprehends it. You're the first that hasn't heard of it. Lol.

The only time I threw up from loratens (loraTAB TENS, lol) was the first time when I did it because I took too many and two days ago. And yeah, I have thrown up from heroin. It happened on my first time. And maybe a few times after that.

I've thrown up from lortabs too, but was from the acetaminophen in it. I took 10 hydrocodone w/apap 7.5/500, whici is 75mg of hydrocodone and 5000mg of acetaminophen. I still felt nice though. I even went in for a job interview while I was still fukt up as hell and got the job. haha
