Hey, I go to the doc today and I am suppossed to get my 90 2mg Klonopins re-filled, but I want to try to get bars(2mg xanax) instead. I think that if hes been willing to give me the 2mg Kpins for the last 6 months that this shouldn't be taht big of a deal, but I was just wondering if anyone had and suggestions on exactley what to say him to make this happen?

Well, I went yesterday and I said to him that I had reading up on the different anti-anxiety meds on the internet and that I saw that xanax and kpin are basically the same streghth and both do the same thing for me anxiety wise, the only differnce being that xanax hits you quicker and Kpin has a longer half life. He said he would rather keep me on the klonopin for now.(gave me 90 more 2mg) So now, any idea's of exactley what to say next month when i go back and want to try to switch to the xanax again?

P.S. He also has me on lexapro and he gave me trazadone for sleep and he gave me this stuff caleed lyrica.. he said its supossed to make it feel like I have more Kpin in me to calm me down.

I used to love pins too, but I'm in a wierd situation, let me tell you whats up..... I used to have a huge tolerance to benzo's I was eating 25-30 Blue footballs a nite at one point. I got that tolerance way down and 2 weeks ago i to 6 and 1 half bars which qould equal 13 blue footballs(13mg of xanax) and I was wasted, can't remember the whole weekend. Then last nite I take 7 2mg kpins and nuthing, I didnt feel the benzo feel at all and I remember the whole nite. It doesn't make any sence to me.

for the record, k-pins have close to no withdrawal symptoms, while xanax has sever withdrawal symptoms (unless you can successfully "taper off" which most fiends can't do).

the trazadone will knock you the fuck out when you need to sleep, thats for damn sure.

if you were taking that many xanax at once, you should seriously consider tapering off and not taking xanax anymore. after my 1-3 month long binges of xanax (stupid) morning day and night, i needed k-pins to lessen the withdrawal otherwise i would be in misery for a week. xanax does work better for anxiety though, k-pin was more of a "go to bed" benzo. its up to you though man, but try not to take to many it can fuck with your brain chemistry in the longrun.

oh and, click the quote button on a users post to quote them

you gotta be assertive with your doctor. tell him you dont xanax because of the half life and withdrawals, etc.
tell him lyrica isn't a benzo, and will not work similarly.
tell him the kpins have less chance for addiction than klonnies.
do what you gotta do man, and if you dont like the xanax/trazadone/w.e go to your doctor immediatley and tell him that.

Your post was kind of confusing, read it again, you will see what I mean, You Kpins have less chance for addcition the klonnies(Kpins and klonnie are the same thing) and if you read my post.... I am on the the 2mg Kpins and want to switch to 2mg xanax

I'm back, I went away for the weekend and took a fair share of Kpins and no benzo feeling at all like I get with xanax.
