Went to see it, very stoned... I must say, the movie was TOLERABLE at best, because I was high.....but for a zombie movie it really sucked.
I feel that it was amazing, yet absolutely horrible. Good ideas, but the whole "smart zombie" thing is stupid. Having a zombie shoot a gun is horrible. I'd give it a 6/10.
the zoombies shoot guns? note to self: wait till land of the dead comes out on basic cable to watch...
I went to the movies yesterday to see starwars and saw Land of the Dead on the marquie so I'm thinking: Fuck Starwars! Zombies? George Romero? Gotta be good right? Yaaaaaaaaaawwwwwwwwwwwwnnnnnnnnnnnnnn. good premise, mediocre execution.
blehhhh....there's to many land of the dead house of the dead dawn of the dead night of the living dead they're all the same to me. just a bunch of gore. it wasn't very entertaining. and definitely not scary
for those of you complaining about all zombie movies being the same, perhaps you should watch zombie movies that werent made by the george romero. perhaps funny zombie movies, like: dead/alive ("braindead" down under) undead dead and breakfast lovely day (www.zombitrol.com) <-student film with me as a zombie
SUCKED BIG TIME!!! We do we love zombie movies? Because zombies don't think! They cant reason, explain, care, surrender! Mobs of morbid dead people overunning the world and eating us all without a single hint of a thought is cool! An intelligent zombie? Why not a balding werewolf, a frankenstien monster who's into modeling, or a vampire who's a vegetarian? Bad premise. Zombies are scary because there is an endless ocean of them. It doesnt matter how many headshots you get in, there is always another zombie following behind to take it's place. So, it's a bad idea to focus on a particular zombie and give it a personality that sets it apart. George Romero is NOT the greatest zombie movie maker! He made the same mistake in Day of the Dead. I've yet to see anyone do justice with a zombie movie (the Dawn of the Dead remake was close though).
i thought day of the dead was wonderfull. not got round to seein land yet but it just seems like a continuation of Bub from day For bad zombie movies try zombie lake or zombie nightmare am still trying to find Dead and breakfast but cant get hold of it anywhere. any ideas?
