i recently bought the 13th floor elevators debut as well. it was an imported one with 10 extra songs of all but a few songs that were covers. their funny to listen to, cause they all sound pretty similar, with the jug noise playing in each one and then Roky Erikson just screaming and yelping. its good times

as i was listneing to it, it just sort of hit me how odd it sounds. as if they used maybe only 1 or 2 mics to record the whole album. just sounds so distance, but its a very good album.

also just got of montreal's - "hissing fauna, are you the destroyer?". very good stuff, very different from of montreal, but i dig it

i also bought something that just caught my eyes, "the penguin cafe orchestra". its like, celtic/classical music, except a bit strange. they use a telephone in a song

finally found a cheap copy of "hampton comes alive" from Phish.... so i bought it.

 

hmm.... cant remember the last album i actually paid for... think it was either .357 String Band or Trampled By Turtles - Live at the Luce...

 

The last music I actually bought was a local band's demo (Social Bordom / Genetic Angry split, actually) They both have myspace pages, you could probably find them if you gave an effort.
