i like to research the drugs i'm about to take so i know what i'm letting myself in for... but a quick google search failed to give me confirmation of the LD50 of crystal meth.... now dont write me off as being some kind of crazed drug abuser i think you should try things before you choose to slag them off... so if any1 does know the LD50 of crystal meth then it would be wondeful if you could let me know. cheers people

the only thing about the "try it before you slag it off" ... id that chances are it WILL be good..... otherwhise people wouldnt do it. ... its the down sides of drugs that you can only see from the outside.. or from the other end of the scale that you have to keep your eyes open for. I dont know much about crystal meths except when i was 15 i had a 14 year old friend who used to do it... he was fucked up *shrug* but thats not much infor about the drug.
It's worth pointing out at this juncture that LD50s are determined by force-feeding drugs to animals in increasing doses until it's been determined what dose kills 50% of them. Hence, 'Lethal Dose 50%". As toxicity measures go, it's outmoded, useless and barbaric.

krank, tweak, ice its a pretty ropey substance I dont think you will find a very sure ld50 for it as your never really sure what your buying . Ive known a few people addicted to amphetamines and wouldnt really recommend anything to do with them
have you been to http://www.talktofrank.com ? i had a look there and can't find the specific drug you're after and i dont know of any other names for it. there are a couple of things on different meths but i dont know which one you want to know about. peace and love stardust xxx
yes this is true.. but as it has already been done.. i'd still like to know the results.. just so i know how toxic it is... i have had results of anything between 20mg/kg to 200 mg/kg.. now thats a massive difference... why cant there just be a "know your drugs" website.
i havent been through the whole site, but the bits i have seen seem to be more keen on making sure you're armed with the right information. i think they're going at it from the angle that people are gonna take drugs no matter what. we cant stop them so we may aswell give them as much information on the drug as we can and how to deal with side effects, what the side effects are etc. i found it really informative and not to preachy. peace and love stardust xxx
cheers sal.. do you know it didn't even occur to me to look on errowid.. but its on there.. and apparently depending on tolerence 50mg can be a toxic dose... thats just sick..mdma is 1000mg. i better watch me self on this stuff.. and yes it's all well and good saying "well just don't take it" but unfortunately i lack that self control when im in a situation where im actually trying to get bolloxed. errowid has been good to me so far so i reckon im gonna take their word for it... 50mg it is then... thats sooooooooo low its actually scary.
The problem with LD50 measurements though is that chemical toxicity varies wildly between species, making it pretty much worthless for humans. An LD50 of, say, 100 grams obtained via experiments on mice only tells us about the toxicity of a substance when administered to mice. It doesn't tell us about its toxicity when administered to humans.
this is true to an extent.. but it tells you the toxic amount per kg (e.g 20mg/kg) or so on and so forth so even though it's probably fair to say that mice maybe more suseptable to the toxicity of certain drugs, if you wigh 20kg dont snort 4grams of the stuff coz the chances are it'll kill ya... do be fair tho 4 grams is a pretty fat line.
