Ok ladies... Do you feel like you need a tan to wear shorts or a miniskirt? I personally do not think it is neccessary... and my legs are white. I went out with some girlfriends a few weeks ago and they all complained that they couldn't wear a skirt because their legs were 'too white' and they needed to get into a tanning bed. *giggles*
Nope! I rock a mini any time I feel like and I'm pale...especially on my legs. My Mom is one that will say it looks bad and that I should wear pantyhose.....ugh,no way. I will wear thigh high stockings sometimes but hose really annoy me. I don't like laying out in the sun much, unless it's just random laying around....and I don't like tanning beds either. So,what's a girl to do?
good god, insanity at it's highest. Flaunt the legs... who cares about the color? Outside of the insane person concerned.
gracious no! I'm ridiculously pale and will probably always be pale. I just don't want enough leg-stubble to show (dont' care about touch - I'm naturally a blonde so I can get away with more legstubble than some)
My legs stay white a long time, as I just don't get tanned very easily. And those machines where you can get a tan are not that healthy.... In my oppinion this is totaly stupid. If you feel good, show your legs!
Tanning is terrible for your skin, especially if you are light skinned. I NEVER tan anymore, not since about the mid 70s when it was connected to skin cancer in Caucasians. My dad has had skin cancer three times on his face and body. No thanks.
my mom says the same thing. especially since i have a tattoo around my ankle! scandal! *giggles* alright, so ya'll are comfy in your own skin. that is important!
LOL yeah okay whatever I never tan, must be some werid genetic thing. Hmm and maybe the bottle loads of suncream I use to stave off skin cancer might be a handicap too. My mother runs a beauty salon and is a great advocate of fake tan, can't be doing with it myself though. The alabaster look is fine.
I don't feel the need to extra-tan (I'm quite pale), but I'm not confident enough about my legs to show them anyway, besides I have got some scars there I don't want to be asked about, so it's no leg free for me.
Well, I wore a little skirt yesterday and my legs are pale as heck at the moment. I actually have considered getting some of that sunless tanning lotion to put on my legs to make them look a little more beige, but then again, it might look stupid. Plus, I don't know if those dyes are good for you anyway. Probably not. Nothing is anymore.
I wear skirts and shorts whether my legs are pale, tanned, burned, or hairy!! It's all about being comfy.
I don't wear shorts or skirts, but I refuse to tan....that's just not right, and it's not like it would work for me anyway. I'm too pale.
Nope.. My legs are as white as they can get.. And if I try to get a tan my knees stay white!! And it looks really silly...
I don't care whether or not my legs are tan. In fact, I have a wart on one knee and i don't even care.
I look just sickly right now as pale as I am. My natural skin color is on the tanner side and once I start getting a little whiter than that, I look like I'm sick or (according to several people) like I'm going to faint. I don't wear shorts or short skirts anyway, so it doesn't matter to me. I mean I still show skin even when I'm white, it just doesn't look natural on me.
It's actually not that bad for you if you know how to do it right. Of course, if you burn really easy, then yeah, you're gonna get skin cancer by being outside. But what's life if you're constantly worrying about sunscreen and the effects of ultra-violet rays? At the same time, what's life if you're always worrying about how tan you are? So many girls I know go and get that Mystic Tan shite, and it looks horrible. I'd just as soon lay out all day long and get the same effects, except come out looking natural.
I think it's completely disgusting to lay in a tanning bed or in the sun without sun block. If you are tan naturally, or work outside, or just spend a lot of time outside thats one thing, though you should still protect your skin. I've always been abnormally pale, and feel like my skin is burning when I go outside. I'm black Irish though, so that may explain it haha. I've had mixed thoughts on my skin, some people have actually told me to get a tan (perfect strangers mind you) but most the time people compliment me on how beautiful my skin tone is. It's funny to think about women in past decades being sought out for pale skin and now they are somewhat non-existent. I can't wait to see all the people when we get older, leather skin. yum.
