What have your experiences been having children? I have 2 daughters who were born before I met my partner but we now want a child of our own. We don't want to go down the adoption route for reasons too numerous to mention and as the younger one it looks like I'll be bearing the child if everything goes to plan. Advice from anyone who's been down this route please.
Well , Having had this same convo with someone very close to me , the options that we came up with were , find a male friend to be a donor , then use a turkey baster...OR.....do it the old fashioned way ......but that might cause a bit of drama....turkey baster is the better method.
Thanks for the advice Erzebet. Although we were leaning more towards the turkey baster option it's still good to have it reaffirmed, after all these forums are a sounding board amongst other things, especially for life-changing decisions like this. That was the easy bit anyway, now we need to find a willing and suitable donor...
(Remember to get the donor checked for STDs. And to not have unprotected sex between the time of the test and the time of the 'donation')
Oh yes plus the fact we have to consider the fact that there may come a time when our child may also want contact with the father. Mind you my girls haven't shown any interest in meeting their fathers yet so we'll just cross that bridge when we come to it...
