They may look nice, but fondant tastes really gross.

 

Those are very pretty. I love working with fondant. I didn't at first, but I really enjoy it now that I've gotten the hang of it. Looks so elegant I think. And, I must say, my fondant roses are the bomb. I hang sculpt those babies, lot of time and creativity go into creating them. But I love it!

As far as fondant goes, don't ever, ever eat the kind sold in stores. Oh goodness it's horrific. I have two different types of fondant I make myself, and even people that said they hated fondant ended up admitting it was good. Because let me tell you, the first time I tried fondant I thought it was the most digsuting thing I'd ever eaten. I vowed I'd never use the stuff again, that is, until I started making my own.

Course I'll always love my buttercream, I just wish I could make better looking roses with it. *pouts* My fondant roses blow my buttercream roses out of the water.
