Man, I'm scared and dissapointed at the same time. But yet, I still have hope.

    Here's the story:

I was sitting on the toilet, taking a crap ( bear with me, lol.) and I was playing with my hair and I don't know if it came from my head, or the ceiling or whatever, but chances are it was my head. Anyways, I saw an ant looking thing, only a bit smaller. So I immediately proceeded to wipe, and then went over the sink. I started rubbing away at my hair furiously only to reveal lots of dandruff. When I looked closer, sure enough there was something crawling.
It was about the size of 2 dandruff put together, and was yellowish.

I repeated the process for a LONG time after that, and found nothing else. Then I washed with some Doc Bronners Tea Tree Oil, and rinsed for a while.

I haven't experienced any itching in about 3 weeks now, and I still haven't experienced any itching yet. Is it false alarm?

Someone help, I don't want to cut in vain.

    =(

    Namaste, John.

I posted a thread about treating lice on dreadlocks. the link is maybe on page 3 or 3.

or you could look through my threads to find it. Otherwise I'll post the link later.

Got it, sounds like a plan. It's inexpensive, and I already have a good 2 or 3 bottles of that stuff right here at home. I need to find some time with no one home. If anyone here finds out, not only will they freak, but instant cuttage of my hair.

I actually came to the conclusion that even if I did have lice, I will continue to grow my hair. So I'm not even worried about it anymore, but if later on, I experience some itching, I'll definitely try some of that Alcohol.

    Thanks a bundle.

For a minority of people lice do not necessarily cause itching. I would do the alcohol thing for 3 reasons. 1)to be on the safe side 2)if you do have an infestation its good to catch it early 3)Now that you've had this little scare you are going to be very paranoid about lice. If you do the treatment you will have easy times and no worries :) . If you wanna trip of the wild side you could try eagles cure but I don't think the pain is necessary. Good luck!!!

I did the treatment, boy was that a wild ride.

First, as I was applying the alcohol, I COMPLETELY forgot about the effect it has when it gets on the eyes. I soon found out. I thought I was going to go blind it hurt so much, so after I got that under control. I placed the bag tightly on my head.

Sat there with it for 30 minutes as instructed, and then proceeded to rinse my hair.
I rinsed with hot water, maybe that had some kind of horrible reaction, but my scalp literally felt like it was on fire.

I looked on the shower, and I found nothing, except a bunch of hair.
( Man I shed ALOT of hair!) Rinsed again, and same result.

My hair came straight down from being soaked so long, and my newly formed natural dreads looked really cool! Hehehe

Amazing how powerful the mind is. Now that I got that done, I'm care free! Not a worry in the world, and there was probably nothing there to begin with. Thanks for the Lice Concoction Moon.
