this last month or so I've been very drawn to this country, and I would like to live there sometime after I'm done with college. What's it like over there?

    Very broad question, whatever :D

The cooking is fine, actually. You just have to get used to the obscene amounts of grease that we chomp down on a regular basis. Given that the English meal is either fish & chips or an English breakfast (with fried bread, which is basically bread with lard in it), we all have clogged arteries.

Bad teeth? I would have disagreed with you a year ago, but yes, now I know many people with some sort of tooth-based problem. One person I know had all her teeth knocked out as a kid, when someone threw a brick and it hit her.

    Good TV? Bollocks :p

I was about to say Neighbours but that's Australian isn't it? :&

    Six Feet Under = American
    Nip/Tuck = American

EastEnders was hilarious last night though :p Surely that counts?

I'm currently enjoying The Green Wing on channel 4 Friday nights repeated Saturdays... disturbingly dark and surreal in a long line of great British comedy which spans Chris Morris to Peep Show...

yeah The Green Wing is prety good. I also like spooks, emerdale farm , newsnight erm scrap heap challenge (trys to think of other uk tv shows  )

soulrebel51 i think the best thing to do is check out the official tv stations websites

    BBC 1, 2, 3, 4 (cbeebies or cbbc..if your into kids programing ?)
    Channel 4 and 5
ITV1, 2 ...no actualy don't bother with ITV at all its is dreadful, morning (especialy...GMTV and Trisha) noon and night (ok not so much).

If you ever come over..move to Leicestershire ... everyone loves Leicestershire :) its lovely and diverse plus its no were near London (but you can catch a train to go there if you wish)

Bad teeath...hahah well mine are alright.. I have seen lots of bad american teeth .. bad teeth. You can't catch 'bad teeth' so if yours are ok, don't worry they will contiue to be ok.

british comedy that is what it is all about, Little Britain that is just getting better and better, and leauge of gentlemen that was clasic then you can go back to the true classics like bottom the young ones, fawlty towers and monty python but for some reason british humour alot of the time only apeals to us brits, we must have some kind of strange insanity.

Would any of you happen to know if your tv is as cheesy as Japanese tv? :D
I lived there for a little while, all it consisted of was either stupid ass game shows or porn. 24 hours a day :D

lol, it was a Pokemon episode if I remember correctly. I never watched it, but 600 or so people that watched that one episode had epilepsy attacks, or something like that.

Never been to japan , but i wouls assume they have their fair share of cable stations... we have our fair share of cheesy crap on our cable stations. Not on terrestrial though its a little more quality, not much but a little.
