Humanity grows more and more intelligent, yet there is clearly more trouble and less happiness daily. How can this be so? It is because intelligence is not the same thing as wisdom. When a society misuses partial intelligence and ignores holistic wisdom, its people forget the benefits of a plain and natural life. Seduced by their desires, emotions, and egos, they become slaves to bodily demands, to luxuries, to power and unbalanced religion and psychological excuses. Then the reign of calamity and confusion begins. Nonetheless, superior people can awaken during times of turmoil to lead others out of the mire. But how can the one liberate the many? By first liberating his own being. He does this nor by elevating himself, but by lowering himself. He lowers himself to that which is simple, modest, true; integrating it into himself, he becomes a master of simplicity, modesty, truth. Completely emancipated from his former false life, he discovers his original pure nature, which is the pure nature of the universe. Freely and spontaneously releasing his divine energy, he constantly transcends complicated situations and draws everything around him back into an integral oneness. Because he is a living divinity, when he acts, the universe acts.

wisedom, intelligence, accumulated experience, abilitity and knowledge are all different things.
related perhapse but totaly indipendent of one another
as are things like gratification and resposibility
insight, sincerity and so on.

i doubt very much that average humand intelligence has
chainged signifigantly over the past 10,000 if not 100,000
years. we've learned a lot since then.

the average power of a society's tools or comfort level of
it's average living conditions have absolutely nothing
what so ever to do with any sorts of chainges in average
individual intelligence.

so you seem to be barking up several totaly unrelated trees.

ambient cultural values have to do with how willing or
unwilling individuals are to connect the dots or do their
thinking. and ambient collective mythose and ITS evolving
is granted what has a very great deal to do with cultural
values.

why organizations and groups behaive the way they do is a
subject worth volumes of study.

there was a book written sometime back in the 60s or 70s
by eric bern called the structure and dynamics of organizations
and groups which might be of some interest and pertinance
to this question for anyone honestly interested in it
beyond grinding their personal favorite axes of emotional
attatchment to popular or otherwise assumptions

there is of course also history
but given the biases which drive much of its recording
and presentation attepting to analize the details of the
causes of events, shifts and trends from it can be
parilously misleading.

humans have a far too developed ego. it's supposed to work equally with the spirit, but we've let it dominate our consciousness, therefore ignoring the more subtle and profound signals we can get from listenning to our spirit. it's all about being in the moment, letting go of fear and insecurities and doing things in joy and trust. i have pretty high hopes for the future, but it's not about expecting. things are happening right now if you look around. sure there's death and distruction, but there are miracles happening. i know not because i've read about them, but because i'm living them. every day. so is my dad and his wife who are being incredibly effected by this energy shift.

i was told that scientists have stated that the universe is speeding up, and we are entering another solar system. this means our planet's being bombarded with all sorts of new energies, causing much of this chaos (which isn't so chaotic if you look at it in terms of karma), miracles as i mentioned earlier, telepathy, people are manifesting their thoughts, and on and on.

this change is big and confusing, but by being aware and doing everything with good intentions, by wanting to awaken, you can help in this shift take place more smoothly. don't ignore the little miracles of every day, give thanks for the morning. change is good, it's the only thing consistent in this world.

dying IS change. how do you give birth to the new without getting rid of the old. i'm not saying all these horrible tragedies are a good thing, but they're happening for a reason. and the perpetuators of the devastation will get theirs too.
