So, there's a local hero thread, but what about a local criminal/murdering/general scumbag thread? They have all got to come from somewhere too?

Harold Shipman started his career working at the local A&E.

A part of Pontefract is named after John Nevison, and there's a pub called the Nevison Leap - he apparently spent a lot of time living nearby.

John Poulson also lived and worked here. The maths block of my old school goes under the letter assignement "P" after him, as he was responsible for building that part of the school. The traditional style of the school combined with the 80s-ish designs of the maths block gives the entire place a St Custard's vibe.

I can't think of anyone from my area. I am almost strangely disappointed.

Same here Being. The only thing interesting I can think of are these...

The last hanging in Scotland took place in the nearest city in 1963. Henry John Burnet.

Not far south of here was an interesting murder. A love triangle gone wrong at the end of the 1960's. A man by the name of Max Garvie was shot killed by his wife and her lover who then hid the body. http://www.britnett-carver.co.uk/stonehaven/prods/141.html

man murdered by maniac internet stalker

Odon, 'i'm glad I killed the bastard'

A man was visited in his home last night, by a fellow forum user whom he met online. The Imaginary Being, from the UK, reportedly revealed his location, enticing the stranger to violently emerge at his doorstep. When Mr Odon, also from the UK, tried to advance on his victim by undressing himself- his advances were repelled by Mr Being.

It was after the encounter that in a fit of rage, the angered streaker produced a handgun from an unknown location, and continued to shoot down Mr Being, UK. There after, he stripped his corpse, fashioned a shirt from his skin and walked into the local pub armed with both the gun and a sponge. As the locals fled, maniac Odon fell over his untied shoe lace, and lay unconscious until the police arrived.

The Authorities had been called, and Odon, clearly insane, was arrested thereafter. Local authorities have commented, stating 'Mr Being should not have been so forthright with his location, and should never have perused any belief that the internet is a safe place for sharing personal information.'

    Lol...

I'd make sure it was violently spectacular...I'd spread your entrails all over town...and drink your body fluids. I think that would make me a local villain, right?
