Fires are starting again as night falls ... Just saw it on both CNN and BBC.

 

know what you saying... does seem like it's got more momentum to go... we shall see... i don't like what i'm hearing about using heavy hand tactics... inevitable but i don't have to like it nevertheless...

 

the one night i'd really like a telly to monitor it without having to go outside... there are reports of lots of young people maskin'up... toolin' up... heard it has cooled a little in Rye Lane, Peckham...

i'm listening to two different local radio stations... apparently, it is hotting up in Birmingham...

ha ha, guy on one local radio said it had nothing to do with racial tensions in the area... he is in denial.... not that it is only about that... there are other issues too ofcourse...

 

Now reports of (large chain) shops being smashed up Birmingham!! In the city centre, right near police headquarters!!!

If I didn't have a sprained ankle I would be running down to Tesco's to smash that shit up! And McDonald's and the banks!!!

It's becoming more and more apparent that this is the angry youth, NOT the angry blacks. Reports keep coming in of all races, all ethnicities, angry youths berating police, angry at their situation, lack of support, no jobs, no futures.

The revolution is being televised?!!??!?!

It was a black guy who got shot, but it could as well have been white guy, or an asian..

It was the death of a a person at the hands of the police that sparked it all off, what predominant race is involved is immaterial, this was not a race riot in the beginning and nor are they race riots now.

It is being conducted by young people who have become disenfranchised by the system, and whilst a lot of them probably do come from ethnic minorities the reasons why they are rioting has little to do with race.

These are NOT race riots.

They are riots between civilians and the police, not between whites and blacks. Many of the police there will be black, just as many of the rioters will be white.

 

Very very few reports of injuries, a couple to journalists and possibly police. It seems they are humane rioters, letting people leave buildings and vehicles unharmed before smashing the shit out of them. It is a good expression of anger when they still consider their fellow human beings.

 

Yeah, I heard a report earlier from some economics blogger that the market reports are coming out much worse than the picture actually is, essentially the markets have not changed (certainly not yet) but the stock markets (not just in US) are taking a dive due to "fudged" reports. Probably more financial terrorism so the same old rich bastards can buy more stocks, I reckon.

 

I can't see what race most of them are because they all have their faces covered.

 

GRRRRRR It's so annoyign all these police spokesmen talking about bringing people to justice!! If they did their job properly and brought justice to those at the top in the first place then all this shit wouldn't be kicking off.

Fucking dumb twats, they'll pay for squandering their duties soon enough.
