LONDON - An explosion destroyed a double-decker bus in central London during rush hour Thursday, police said. Two other blasts also went off in other buses, reports said. There were reports of casualties. The explosion near Russell Square occurred not long after blasts on London subways earlier Thursday, police said. Dow Jones Newswires reported that police confirmed explosions on at least two others buses. One of the buses exploded near Russell Square, police said. A witness said the entire top deck of that bus was destroyed. "I was on the bus in front and heard an incredible bang, I turned round and half the double decker bus was in the air," Belinda Seabrook told Press Association, the British news agency. She said the bus was packed with people. "It was a massive explosion and there were papers and half a bus flying through the air," she said. IM GLAD THE OLYMPICS WERENT GONNA BE HELD IN THE U.S. FUCKIN TERRORISTS.
The thing is that my baby and me are right in the middle of it. My workplace is very close, the nursery where i have my child has had to close as it may be excavated as it is very near the Russell square explosion the staff clearly heard it. We have been told to stay in our building and the road outside has been closed off. With transport at a halt we have no way of getting home. I will keep you posted.
It's so dark, how fucking hard is it going to be to get around london without the underground service running... It's dark man, really dark!
Matthew good advise but what about the many people (like myself) who are already in central London and (like me) have children in nurseries and crèches. So far it look like I will have a long walk home pushing a buggy?
balbus: we heard that edgware road was bombed. do u know anything about that. my sister lives q near there
That is going to be a problem, but i was just saying that it won't be a logistical nightmare for ever. http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/uk/4659093.stm seems to be keeping a good track of events
I'm so sorry about what happened... Totally freaky. And fucked up. At least Tony Blair addressed the nation in a timely fashion.
Yeah, Blair didn't crawl into an underground bunker. Sorry to hear about the explosions. Spain got hit hard about a year ago with similar explosions on trains. .
Yeam man, im sorry to hear about what happened in london, it pisses me off so much when ever i see someone die on the news, but when 40 people die man and over 360 injured it just makes me sick.
I doubt it they gave up that shit in the early eighties... Here's a map i stole off of bbc if anyone wants a more detailed pic.
Blair was about to get flushed out of government, what a GREAT coincidence that all of a sudden a nice perfect attack comes to boost his approval rating! Israel got warnings of this attack and so did scotland yard, but now Israel is denying it, but this is clarly the case http://www.usatoday.com/news/world/2005-07-07-israel-londonblasts_x.htm?POE=NEWISVA. Now...they are trying to deny they had any warning..http://breakingnews.iol.ie/news/story.asp?j=122106240&p=yzzyx68zx. Now a London branch of "Al Queda" has claimed responsibility http://www.rense.com/general66/alq.htm, But as we have seen before, Al Queda is nothing but a Mossad Front group http://www.whatreallyhappened.com/fakealqaeda.html, The Mossad has close ties to the MI5 and CIA, any questions? Peace and Love, Dan
Give up all your rights, people. The government will protect you from the evil terrorists. The government loves you. All you need to do is submit and be a good slave.
