long island mushroom id

    can anybody tell me if this is the psilocyben mushroom i found it on a football field there appears to be some blue brusing in the cap where it cracked and i thought they kind of look like liberty caps

    You're not gonna find psychedelic mushrooms on a football field unless the field keepers are cows.

    There is no way to tell from that crummy blurry picture.

    Also it is always advisable to take a spore print first and foremost.

    what exactly can you tell with/from a spore print, if you have no microscope?..

    The color of the spores could help me narrow down the genus.

    I can guarantee. most people are color blind.. blacks spores will look purple.. purple will look black..
    sure you can id a brown and white spore. but black and purple?? Ima say with the naked eyes its really not a good idea. and kinda just guess work too..

    people wanting to understand mycology and mushrooms ID should but a microscope. they are not very expensive and you can ID a whole lot more..

    even a strong magnifier glass with a good light..
