    The Simon!

Straight out of 1978 (maybe 76) it's a blast from the past! It still works great, lights up, makes sounds, etc.

For those who may not know what a Simon is, it's an electronic memory game. It has four differently coloured buttons on top, each one makes a different sound. The machine will light up one of the colours with the accompanying sound and wait for you to press that same button. Then the next time it lights up that same button plus an additional one. You basically copy what it does in consecutive order. It becomes challenging as it lights up more and more colours because it gets faster too so your memory really has to keep up.

I think the highest I've gotten was 23 colours.

Shit i used to scare my family and friends by taking this mofo up to 50+. Ah, but that was before all the big pharma drugs, alcohol, caffeine and chicken mcnuggets. Those days are long gone.

I think Simon goes Bloop Bloop Bloop! after a while if you forget to turn him off. That's enough to freak some people out. :)

I would like to see something similar but not discrete separate colors. A game that twists your mind with an array of colors where there isn't a clear right or wrong. We could call it Psychedelic Simon.

    :)

I haven't shopped on eBay in a while but those are some nice finds. I haven't played Simon in years! Now I wonder where ours went... I used to have a mini.

Could be a good pot party game.... other than that, those things frustrate me.

I would think that pictionary or charades would both be very awesome pot party games. Now I wanna have a pot party...

I've had all those toys. Mine were better because they were early nineties remakes, so my gyro-wheel lit up with led's, my Simon had different games to play, and of course I had bop-it.

    I don't think I've tried Bop-it.

    Sounds pretty good, though. :)
