Look, I have to be honest here....

I don't think most people on the forum here are true hippies. They just like the label and all that is associated with it.
I think this because I often see bashing going on, and judging, and not much about love, and just being 60s kind of hippies.

Perhaps a "true hippie" doesn't concern him/herself with who is and isn't... and certainly wouldn't bother self-labeling.

and to Duck: I dont care if it was a fad or a movement. Real hippies have survived it and are grown each day. the inside counts, not the outside (appearance as "Fad" or whatever)

But to me the core of the hippie movement was never love and peace; it was get high and have sex.

I respect good people -- I tend to laugh at (obvious) hippies (quietly to myself while I'm figuring out if they happen to be a good person).

to Duck - i am not focused on coming off as a hippie. i dont particularly make sure my clothes look hippie enough everytime i am to be seen.

I just don't get what hippiedom matters, then. I mean, I'm a comic book fan; and sure it annoys me when someone who's seen the Dark Knight 80 times but doesn't even realize there are multiple Robins thinks they know comic books, but it's nothing to get worked up over.
