hey everyone. i figure this is as good a place to post this as any. my sweet little sister is going off to college next year, and i'm trying to find her a college for me to recommend- one that offers degrees that you don't have to feel guilty about having.

currently i go to a school in san francisco called "new college of california", where i am a junior, and chipping away at a degree in activism and social change. i'd love for her to go there, but sadly my beloved school is having financial hardships, and i can't guarantee it will still be around.

so really, i'm asking about colleges for both her, *and* me. both of us may need a school for the fall, and i'm curious as to where all of you go/went/want to go to. i want to major in activism/social change; environmentalism; writing... and my sister isn't sure yet. i just figured you all would have some ideas, or would know where to look for sustainable colleges, or be able to point us in a direction.

    Thank you.

I would recomend Antioch College which is in Ohio. I would also recomend the New School in NYC. I plan to try and transfer to the New School. I am attending community college at the moment. I would also looking into Berkley in calfoirna which I have heard offers a lot of envoirnmental type course and programs. For Writing I would recomend Skidmore in Upper New York State.

Antioch closed down due financial issues.

Warren Wilson in NC sounds like somewhere that would fit your tastes.
