Hey all! I'm a 21 year old hippie in my last year of college. I'm looking for a kind place to move after I graduate. I was looking into the west coast, primarily Oregon. I was wondering if anyone out there had any suggestions. I'm looking to get a Master's degree sometime in the near future, and so I would like to live near a college. Also, I'm an avid pot smoker, so somewhere where pot is avaliable and not too looked down upon would be great. Also, I'm a writer and small buisness owner, so somewhere where I could pursue my career choices would be idle. Also, I would like to live in a place where the arts are held in high esteem. Being as I'm going to be fresh out of college when I move, I need to choose a place where the cost of living isn't too extreme. Size doesn't matter all that much, although I would like to live near a city of somesorts. Any suggestions would be awesome, also, places not on the west coast are welcome. I just would like to know what some of my options are! Thanks!

If you dont mind a different location, flagstaff AZ is a very kind town, beautiful mountains and really kind people, i was jsut out there a few weeks ago, and i think that might be the place for me to settle down once i get off tour in a few years.

Expensive is one of those relative terms. I've lived in New York City, San Francisco and Los Angeles. I am a Californian and am happy in most parts of the state with the exception of the desert.

Unless you have a year's worth of savings to take with you, I don't know if i'd recommend going some place like that to just look for work. Maybe you should consider living in or near a city and taking weekend trips up there on long weekends. Personally, I don't recommend cities that are 420 friendly. But then again, I wear wooden shoes every day and don't recommend sneakers.
