Hey all, I've been here before and alas, I am here again. I am looking to move and spread my wings...but where to go? I am originally from MA, in CT now (Lord, help me!). Ideally, my kinda place would: 1. Be affordable (this leaves out awesome San Francisco) 2. Have decent weather- meaning not a ton of snow, freezing cold or excruciating heat 3. Have culture and happenings- museums, events, music, dancing, good eats 4. Friendly, real people! 5. Be aesthetically pleasing Is this too much to ask?! I know there are some like minded folks out there who I desperately seek advice from! I'm just looking to found my niche, and I still haven't yet so I thank you in advance for helping a girl out.
i;m from Memphis. . don't really recomend that. . and now live in Tuscaloosa.. I vote somewhere west. . thats where I want to head
asheville, nc is fucking awesome. so is wilmington, sc. scranton, pa is the center of the universe though..
salisbury. maryland is fun its only 20 min from ocean city, 2 hr's from virginia beach and baltimore and its relatively easy going as long as you live in the burbs or surrounding countryside
Perhaps something like Yakima Washington since it is not expensive and is close to the Cascade Mountains, has great weather, and is near Seattle and Portland.
No Siberia, lol! I've heard good things about Charleston. I loved Portland when I visited, but the unemployment and constant dreariness are making me hesitate. I'll look into some of those suggestions
San Francisco. Move there! LOL Highs in the mid-60s. Lows in the mid-50s. For real. A Mediterranean weather effect because of the bay and the ocean. San Diego, the same Mediterranean weather effect, only warmer. Talking year 'round. Here. That's exactly why the whole world wants to live in these places. (Expensive) Winter and Summer doesn't vary all that much. Paradise ??? How 'bout Hawaii. I hear there's lots of different places there. Maybe Santa Cruise and in the hills there. Redwoods.
I'm going to have to do a lot of research. I was surprised to see Chattanooga on here since I've heard so little about it!
