Lost my job....

Just yesterday I was bitching about the politics of my job. Wondering why I wasn't in charge. Then, 30 minutes later 2 big wigs came in and shut us down. No warning, no time to start looking for a job. They came in, brought the police, and kicked us out on the spot. Pretty fucked up, really. Twenty-two years old and I just got laid off.......

 

When something like that happened to me, i got drunk. :H

Then i hauled my ass up out of bed and looked at what i could do next.

It was difficult, no doubt.

I hope you don't get too depressed about this.

Don't let it deflate you.

 

That's truly a shitter mate. At least it opens up more posibilities for a job with a little less silly politics.

Adam that does suck- especially considering the amount of time and energy you put into it. Be happy that this happens at 22... you're very marketable and have your whole life ahead of you. Imagine having to start over at 40- or 50-something!

Looking back I've found that in most cases getting laid off was the best thing to happen to me. You're not tied down by schedule or work responsibility. It's the perfect time to plot the course your life will be taking.

sorry about losing your job. i got laid off at 25. though i was expecting it, so it wasn't that bad. but at least you have a whole new world of opportunities. where are you gonna start looking next?
