:sunglasse Thanks Dirk Pitt Dude.I started to remember them ,after I read what you wrote..Thanksss...
I liked the episodes with Arte Johnson, Flip Wilson, and others. Arte did a good one as a hospital patient trying to date the pretty nurse. Flip was in a pool shark episode. In the late 90s one of the American TV networks (ABC, I think) did a remake of it that was pretty bad. It had a dark underworld type atmosphere, totally the opposite of the 70s playfulness and lightheartedness of the original series. TVLand showed reruns of the original series back around the mid to late 90s. .
The Cowsills did the theme song as well as others songs in the 60s. Their style was along the lines of the Association, the Carpenters, and the Young Americans. Here's the short and long versions of the theme song by the Cowsills: http://home.flash.net/~lauras34/love1.mp3 http://home.flash.net/~lauras34/love2.mp3 .
It was an episode of 'Love:American Style' that introduced the 'Happy Days' crowd,The Fonz & Ritchie Cunningham etc. in 1973.I don't think we ever got to see this show, generaly in Britain at all.Did we miss out here?...
