Yes, I have though it takes a lot to get me to that point. I have to come to the realization that nothing healthy would ever come out of the relationship either as friends or lovers

No, I haven't. I would imagine it would be quite difficult to do however.

  5. Yeah, the restraining order fixed that pretty good.

its easier to let go with your mind...letting go with your heart is a horse of a differant color...

    twice
    it sucks

but if you know you aren't gonna make them happy, or you've fallen too far apart to be able to fix it now (maybe in a few years)... the best thing is to let them go, let them walk their own path as you walk yours, and hope to meet again sometime in the future.

Twice. The first guy is my best friend, but I'm not good enough for him (in my eyes) and now he's married.

The second died not to long ago.

I find that getting some helps forget the last person. Especially if your new person is much hotter!

Yes, and it is very painful. The trick of it is, when you love someone and you know you have to let them go, you do it no matter how much it hurts you, for the sake of the other person's happiness. I think letting go of someone you truly love for that reason is one of the most noble, hardest, and significant accomplishments any one person could achieve. :D
