Love: The best way to protest against our government

So I got to thinking today, how love...in any form...is anti-political. The government doesn't want us to love one another. They want us to compete. For what? Everything. Welcome to capitalism.

Our government is unmerciful. Making the rich richer and the poor poorer at all costs. It's about status. WE are better than YOU. That's not what love is all about. Love is equality.

Love is accepting everyone.Our president is racist; creating racist wars all over the world, supporting racist wars all over the world.

Love is our most powerful anti-political forces humans can possibly have.

Close your eyes and imagine a perfect world.

Brotherhood. Unity. That's not what our government wants. They have a power over us as long as we are seperated...constantly fighting over who is right or wrong. Once we get past "right" and "wrong", we can begin to work together...loving one another...peacefully.

Let's protest...together.

Dancerannie, you sound so much like me in this thread. These random occurring thoughts about the world... everyone around me thinks I'm so weird for shit like this.

Anyway, regarding your topic, I agree. I don't know if I'd say it's anti-political... some politics COULD be dealt with, in a way that supports love, it just never IS handled that way. And like you said, a capitalist government/economy ...makes that pretty difficult. In a capitalistic environment, it's everyone for themselves, not "share with your sista" and that can be really lame.

But, you've gotta give big props to those who protest that everyday simply BY giving a little...whether it's helping someone cross the road, or donating to charity...etc.

Although the government can be such a damper, some people man...some people just change that attitude for me. We'd be nowhere without those people.

Um, while I like loving people, I think you're going to have a hard time asking people to protest reality with love.
