Soooo....Ive seen Groundation probablly about a hundred times...however, last night in Frisco was thee best Groundation performance ever!!!!!! I think my dreads got a little dreadier after experiencing the magic there! Anyone else go? heres some Groundation links...cuz Im still on cloud nine and cant get enough! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YPBmCoOJxjM https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=E2oieLrmj60 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7xUoyybhc9s Blessings and love to you all!
Cal does suck in comparison to Oregon... On the subject of Groundation though....amazing band, been a fan for many years.
Hmmm...I guess that just depends on where you are. Oregon as all types of weather/geography. Here in Eugene there's all kinds of weather, but it's never consistently the extreme of anything. It snows sometimes...like every 2-3 years...if that, and during summer it's pretty warm...80's etc...sometimes 90's. So, I suppose if you like all weather, but not too much of any one kind it's perfect here. Cal...meh...to much smog, stuck up people and crazy drivers. (granted they exist everywhere). Oh, we also keep most of Cal powered...as we sell you guys most the energy you use. But hey, it's all just personal opinion, both Oregon and Cal have there positives and their negatives as with any general area.
Thanks for posting those links! I hadn't heard of Groundation before, and now I'm hooked on them! I'm groovin' to them right now.
AAAAAHHHH im so jelous i herd about this show, but adly im a little youngin and i guess im not hot enough for the Independent. i have yet to see them live. and tey are probably in my top 3 reggae bands eva
I love being turned on to new music! Another band that I have recently discovered is Gogol Bordello. Their sound is original and ancient...they make me want to dance. www.gogolbordello.com
Haha Gogol! I love them! Theyre so much fun! I like the "start wearing purple" song. Lately Ive been addicted to Lauryn Hill, Ani Difranco, and The Waifs...good stuff!
Gogol is my new "gettin 'er done" music around the house. I just can't sit still when I'm listening to them. Check out some of my fave local bands if ya get a chance: http://www.wassabi.net/player/music.html http://www.samsaramusic.com/home.htm http://oneworldrecords.ca/2008/index.php?option=com_wrapper&Itemid=8 on the last link, scroll down the page for tunes from Earthbound I have seen these bands numerous times and have had the the chance to party with most of them. I worked with Kira, the lead singer from Earthbound-she is an amazing woman. Wassabi is probably my all around favourite band, they're so much fun to dance and hoola hoop to.
Oh I love it! Thank you sooooo much for sharing! Feel free to hit me up anytime with music links and info!
