Hello all As a seasoned cannabis veteran and responsible adult, I think we can all agree that something needs to be done about DARE. Basically, it doesn't work. So I'm petitioning my school board to bring an MDEP program to our school (designed by me with a little help from NORML maybe) to combat our drug problem. I do smoke, but I don't think teens should. I'm open for suggestions, it's going to involve a lot of harm reduction strategies and all that fun stuff. Call me a hypocrite, but I don't like knowing that 12 year olds are puffing the magic dragon, I don't like that very much. I've already got a KeyNote done, and I'm ready whenever the meeting is set up. So anyway, any suggestions? EDIT: Program means class, this would be a year-long mandatory course, so I mean to type MDEC, not MDEP. MDEP is basically a DARE sorta thing, which is bad
I see what you're saying, but then they will do other things. Things that are stupid, like huffing gas and paint thinner. Therefore, I must say that I'd rather have kids smoking grass; I don't like the idea of kids in the sixth grade puffing away either, but they will just find other, potentially more harmful ways to "feel different".
No it'll be about inhalants too, just teaching kids the truth is all I'm trying for. No lies, no propoganda, no dogma. Just the truth is what a class would be about. I'm not for drug testing either just for the record haha, that would've sucked horribly for me
I'm all for this. DARE is so much bullshit. A lot of what the teach is propoganda and scare tactics. Its ridiculous bullshit. A funny trend in my area is the local stoners wearing DARE shirts, covered in pot leaves on their hats, belts, pants, shoes.
