LSD and pregnancy

In answer to your question prone there have been a number of studies done on LSD effects on an unborn fetus. Google it for yourself.
The teratagenic effects of LSD in dosages normaly used in humans is less than caffeine or aspirin. The hog vomit that website is spouting is crap and complete lies!
I would advise against doing any drugs, legal or otherwise , especially alcohol and tobacco while pregnant. That should just be common sense.

about drug laws in the U.S. and in the section about crack cocaine when they had all the hype about crack addicted babies and horrible defects what they didn't tell the public was that the pictures of babies the used were actually born to alcoholic mothers and it was fetal alcohol syndrome not cocaine.

Flat out lies like that fucking infuriate me to no end!!!

When I first got into LSD I did a LOT of research on it, that was long before the internet was in everyones fucking house.
Sorry for getting so riled up, but seriously if more people spent some time researching this shit themselves and learning the facts about these topics maybe they might actually learn something and we wouldn't be inundated with the myths and bullshit that we see being asked in these forums every damn day!!!

It's generally a good rule of thumb for a pregnant women to avoid any and all unnecessary chemicals and substances while pregnant. You want to keep that fetus as pure as possible, they are very vulnerable when on the inside.

 

LSD was discovered by accident during the research of uterine contracting drugs. Anything that can possibly trigger premature contracting of uterus should be avoided.

That guy that put that together thinks he's sly by associating LSD with PCP and marijuana and glue sniffing. I pointed that out and encouraged people to research the claims and get the facts. Same thing I wish more people that frequent this forum would do. As I said, get the REAL FACTS, know what your talking about and then challenge assholes that make asinine claims like that.
I think everyone here that reads this thread should also post a comment at least encouraging others that read it to research it themselves.

 

I very seriously doubt that was due to LSD or PCP or any other drug that is used recreationaly. More likely fetal alcohol syndrome or just a congenital defect.
Wouldn't be the first lie in the war on drugs and probably won't be the last.
Actually prescription drugs, alcohol and tobacco, malnutrition and poor pre-natal care account for more birth defects than recreational drug use.

Sorry everyone, but crap like that has just really been getting to me more over the last decade or so. We can't provide health care for our citizens in America, but we can spend multiple BILLIONS of dollars on the "War on Drugs" which if we rationaly legalized even just marijuana it would essentially cripple the criminal element and do more to win this supposed war than anything else the government has tried.
It didn't work with prohibition, it's not working now.

Id say anything that alters the mind does not affect the course of pregnancy leading up to birth...Only chemicals that enter the body can harm the birth since the body contains the fetus...Like i said though iam going to find it.

I think in order for any drug to enter your brain it has to enter your bloodstream first.
Actually the placenta does a very good job of protecting the baby from a large number of possible toxins. Some drugs can't pass through to the fetus others do very easily, alcohol being one of if not the worst that is used with any regularity by pregnant women.

I don't think anyone cares because we've all seen this a thousand times before. This definitely isn't the first lie we have heard about LSD, and it won't be the last. There is a lot of confusion surrounding this drug, and even is there weren't, most people would still fear it anyways. It just isn't something for everyone, the people who are genuinely interested in it will find out the truth eventually anyways.
And at the end of the day, that baby might not look like that because of LSD, but if I were a pregnant women, or I was a man whose significant other was pregnant, I would not want LSD to be a part of the pregnancy at all, and on that note I agree with whoever put that together, regardless of his reasoning.

 

my g/f tripped (not on purpose) and i guess it doesn't go though baby? I don't know. There has been many problems with baby. He is a drug baby. I left her and she got pregnant our last couple weeks together. We stayed together awhile after. she stayed straight. Well, when we split ways, she went back to drugs. Baby was born 3 monthes early. Until baby's are born NO chem is good. Its your baby your messin with.I used to think weed was alrite. I'm father of 3 other healthy kids. wife smoked weed alittle. My youngest was honor roll all through school. I hope my ex can live with herself. I do blame myself to a point. I will do everything in my power to take care of "Jasper". Please think before any one does any kind of chem if you even think you may be preg. My hole day now is full of regret. Not worth the little rush . I bet "Jasper" would agree.
