LSD Myths...(feel free to contribute if you know one)

People who take LSD think they can fly....so go to the top of tall buildings and throw themselves off.

(er like if you think you can fly why the need for the tall building?...why not just run down the road and flap your wings/arms)

reality: I'm still waiting for my first. I could use a good flashback sometimes.

LSD myths aren't so much myths as they are half or quarter truths.

like the one "LSD can make you go insane"
no, it probably won't, but those people that are prone to develop schizophrenia or other serious psychological disorders can be set off by LSD use, esp a bad trip. i'm one of em, came down with serious OCD after LSD use.

 

Oh yeah I forget the classic one...

If you take LSD you will get hungry,look at your hand and think its a chicken and eat it.

Reality: It does'nt

It melts holes in your brain, it stays in the base of your spinal cord FOREVER, therefore a painful spinal tap is neccicary whenever testing for LSD, and often delusions of super powers, people try to fly off buildings and die, and they try to stop trains by standing infront of them- Mr. Shumway 8th grade health teacher.
I thought to myself, then how could you ever catch someone doing LSD if they would always test positive for it, couldn't they then just say i did 10 years ago? and i think he mixed up somethings like the stopping of the train with PCP, but they probably can really do that. lol. and i think that someone who thinks they can stop a train on LSD would proably try and do it with their mind powers, im quite positive you couldn't get someone trippin on cid to get within 100 miles of a loud large extremly fast moving object hurling down the countryside with its whissle on. good luck.

I do know someone who tried to fly on LSD once. He was standing on a bridge, but saw a spider and it grew really big, so he jumped down and stepped back. I have heard of people trying to fly on LSD, and even dying, and I think its very unfair to label them as morons, or stupid. If someone was sober and tried it, yes. They're not in the mindset to think about things like, "if i can fly, i should start from the ground". Experianced LSD users know stuff like this, but novice ones might not, during a trip.

To say it never happens is a lie, I know otherwise from friends, and to say these people are stupid is unfair. To educate them beforehand would be better.

 

I have no sympathy for people like that, like the previous poster said, if you can fly, why not just start flying? Theres no need to jump off a high building. And if you're really that high on LSD-25 and you're thinking like that, you took too much, and you didn't have a sitter. Hence, a moron.
