LSD toxic to Elephants?

Why is LSD toxic to elephants? also does anyone know if its toxic to any other critter?

I wasn't aware that LSD was toxic to elephants, though I'm sure it could be dangerous to anyone who gets near an elephant on acid!

i think that story has to do with them injecting an incredibly large amount of lsd in an elephant like a million hits worth. and im sure that would fuck anyone/thing up

Im currently reading the book, "acid dreams" and in it an elephant does die of lsd overdose. either that or they give him an extremely high dose capable of causing ego death easily, and the poor thing falls down and then they kill him thinkin hes dead

I'm sorry but we need to clear this up. Yet more bad publicity for LSD whiuch will make yet more first timers paranoid and freak out on a trip when there's no good reason.

The elephant in the drug test actually died because of the thorazine given to him and not because of the LSD.

When the elephant started tripping out they decided to inject him with a huge huge amount of thorazine, which killed him by stopping his heart.

SO yes, an elephant did die while LSD was being tested on him/her. BUt no, it wasn't BECAUSE of the LSD.
