Just had to go through an unemployment appeal my old boss lied through his teeth. it should be agonizing.
I mean like, burn in such a way that you can't hide your reaction to your nervous system screaming in response.
The reason your old boss lied is because he or she does not want you to recieve the compensation you deserve, because in the long run it will cost the company more money. You probably already know this.------Unfortunately when you file for something like un-employment....etc. sometimes you have to stretch the truth yourself.I detest liars myself, but when dealing with a former company have NO mercy on them if they try to fuck with you.
if it were painful then it would not revolve around lying, and it would be MUCH harder for people to delude themselves, and further, it would be much harder for systems that favor people who are expected to lie to work.
It is a hypocritical system, but the hypocrisy is the superstructure not the base problem. The problem is that the less productive you are, the more you earn. And the real big earners manage labor, rather than work themselves.
Culture is also superstructure. The base has to do with who owns the means of production and who doesn't. Those that do, don't work but manage profit from work. Those that don't, work, and do not own the product of their labor. All of that would be fine and well if people were honest about exploitation. The problem is that any and every contention can be rationalized once you get away from material conditions.
That would be awesome, karma would be an active god. Hmmm I wonder what karma would do to women who say " You're the babies daddy!", I'm assuming the bigger the lie the more agonizing the pain would be.
Lying should make one's nose grow like Pinocchio...that would be funny. But it wouldn't stop people from doing it over the phone unless it lasted awhile.
absolutely, I was also thinking that the more an individual lies the more severe it could be, and the more often an individual lies, the more severe it becomes.
All I'm saying is that it serves the base. Culture, ideology, "common sense", "logic", and *especially* morality ---> serves the base. So, it makes no sense to wish for more morality or a different morality. Morality is a by-product of (and rationalizes) labor relations and material conditions.
