I dont like them.

 

I have a friend who loves them, but I must say that I haven`t heared enaugh to have my opnion, they are quite classical. Maybe.

 

I've heard one of their songs I'm no superman and I really like it

 

I've just discovered them and i have to say they're starting to grow on me. right now, i have to listen to Free Bird every day, it's become my favourite song of the year (probably)

 

If you like southern twang guitars and good ole boy lyrics, then you'll probably like Skynyrd. It took me awhile to get past that whole thing. I like "Simple Man" best, probably, but "Freebird" is pretty good, too. Steve Gains is good with the slide, but I think for southern boys on a "geetar", I'd go with Duane Allman.

LYNYRD SKYNYRD THE'S SHIT!!! Not many people I've come acroos like them, but I don't care. I used to live in this little surf town on the ocean where the population consisted of lots of surf snobs, yuppies... and pretty much me. I used to drive around all summer in my car with my windows open just blaring the skynyrd. I got some pretty funny looks.
Lots of you guys probabaly find them a bit too close to country for your taste, but just listen to their like 15 minute long live jams and you may change your mind.

Skynrd used to be cool. They used to be southern hippies(of a sort) back in the day. Somehow they turned into redneck,hooray for Bush'n' War sellouts just like Ted Nugent and Charlie Daniels. Do they even have any orginal members? BTW: The Allman Brothers kick Skynrd's ass anyday.

 

Yep... I know a guy in Amsterdam who punched Gregg Allman for hitting on his wife. I used to talk to him on MSN... haven't in years.

 

I love Lynyrd skynyrd!! who doesnt know free bird and sweet home alabama??! and who DOESNT sing along to them??! lol.

They were big in my last school days.So was Peter Frampton.I thought both had dissapeared.

 

I actually heard a new lynyrd skynyrd song about a year ago and it sucked. Seriously... it was really bad. When you asked baout skynyrd, I figured you meant the old stuff with the original members.
The Allman brothers are sweet. Old Skynyrd's way better though

 

Anyone else who loves Skynyrd, help try to get them into the hall of fame, something they've deserved for years

My favorite songs are Freebird and Sweet Home Alabama. They're one of my favorite bands.

 

I'm not much of a fan, but I love the song Simple Man - very appropriate for Ronnie and rings home and true for many of us in the world.

 

My favorite song is Simple Man....and Tuesdays Gone too! And of course FreeBird is awesome.......but really those are the only 3 i know of from Lynard Skynard....but i know in August this year Allman Brothers and Lynard Skynard are playing here in Raleigh, NC.....that'll be a good rockin concert don't ya think?
