I saw Madagascar last night I really enjoyed it! I'd heard from *some people* that it was a total waste of time, but I thought it was good. There were actually some parts I was laughing really, really hard. Sure, it's not going to win any awards for ultra-deep plot but it was funny and light. If you're in that kind of mood, go see it.
i saw the trailer waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay back when i went to see the waste of film that was shark tale, and it looks good
_This movie was 1000000x better than 'Shark Tale', I don't think they intended the characters to appear real -because the nature details [like the water] appeared to be extremely real-; part of what makes the script work are the characters. I especially loved the penguins & lemurs.
its not meant to look real. its a new generation of animation, mixing really real concepts and humour of the world, with these big cartoon animals. i saw it stoned and it was the best refreshment from a film in ages. there was heaps of humour that was definately not obvious, which might have been bad for their ticket sales, but there were soooo many jokes that the rest of the cinema didnt notice (i knew they were intentional...) not just random stoner humour lol but therewas some of that too
