i dont think this is really an arts and crafts forum question, but i cant think where else to put it, and i guess magic is a kind of art form. anyways...... does anyone know any good magic tricks that can be performed with everyday objects? i have a few tricks, but i would love to learn more. also, does anyone have the website addresses for sites that show you magic tricks? i am very crap with the internet and there are probably loads that i just havent managed to find yet. peace and love stardust xxx
Get a cig, and hold it in your left hand. "Right, all you lovely folk..." *cough, put right hand to mouth to cover it* "Sorry about that...anyway...I'm gonna make this cig disappear. You then hold the cig so it's between your right index finger and thumb (on the bit of flesh between the fingernail and the joint that makes your thumb bend). You wave your left hand over it, and it disappears. What the watchers don't know is that, when you put your right hand to your mouth to cover your cough, you licked your right thumb where the cig was going to be held. This sticks the cig to the thumb when you hold it. So when you wave your left hand over the thumb, striaghtent he thumb out and show the audience your palm (eg: hide the stuck cig from their sight). Then make it reappear by waving your left hand over it again. I'm off to practice that now. Claire left a pack of her cigs in my pocket accidentally, and I've been looking for a use for them
here is a trick with two pound coins... tell the person you're going to make the pound coin in your left hand travel through your body into your other hand...put the coins in your palms face up...put the coin in your left hand on the musclke just under your thumb, but do it without making it look like it's specially placed... then slam your hands down onto the table about the width of your head apart...as you flip your hands over throw the left hand coin into your right hand as it comes down...if you've done it right you can't see it cross...and you just need to play up the passing it throught your body bit... good luck
that looks better if you make it look as though you're going to flick it into their face...but it disappears before it gets there...it adds to the misinformation of the trick...
scarily enough...if you ever see the film late night shopping...both those tricks are in there... i don't think power has seen it tho...which makes it scary
