you know when two people make a fist and then conect them together at the knuckles as a way of greeting? does anyone do this, and what does it mean for you, when I went to amsterdam someone tried to do it to me and I had no idea what he was up too! S
The only time I do that is with black friends or coworkers. None of my white friends really do it. Sometimes, at work, if one person has gloves on which are covered in grease, then we'll touch elbows. It's just a friendly gesture, like a handshake.
this guy was chatting to me in amsterdam and when I didn't know what he was doing he took it as a sign of rejection S
I guess it's like being left hanging for a high five, or holding out your hand, but the person doesn't take it.
it was more kinda like because our cultures where so different, that he felt I was just pretending to be interested in him. now a high 5 is a celebration yeah? S
i never viewed it as "being hard"...to me and my friends, its just the same as a hand shake or 'dap' or whatever. its not like throwing up gang signs...
i've rarely seen girls do any of it, hand shakes, high-fives, etc...other than formal meetings where i'd see a female give a handshake....most of the time i see them hug, or the kiss on both cheeks, or some other thigns, but rarely they'd give dap or what not...
has anyone seen the one person palm up, and the other tickles the palm, I think it means 'we make a good team' S
Thinking back, I don't think I've ever shaked anyone's hand in my life...you don't think it's because I'm a woman, do you? lol
i dunno you probably have and forgotton it, do you go to church, does the priest shake your hands when the service has finished? S
I've seen that in the movies plenty, but I've never seen it done in real life. I think it can also mean "Nice one!"
come on, have you never shaken your employer's hand at interviews or upon meeting before? if you haven't shaken anybody's hand before i find that VERY odd.
