Just watched the final installment of ""Make me a christian" that I had recorded.

The Conclusion: The whole thing was completely staged and nothing more than a propaganda exercise for the church.

The Pagan/Witch lap dancer woman...... Fook me a total convert in the end who allowed the mentors to remove all "pagan paraphernalia" without a 2nd thought and then no mention of paganism/wiccanism from then on in. Now I know a lot of pagans and wiccans to know that pantomime was complete staged bollocks

The Womaniser..... Another total convert! I mean how convincing was he? complete bollocks! and in the end he confesses all to his girlfriend who forgives him.... yeah, get fooked would she!

The Lesbian...... Who considers giving up her sexuality to conform to her new christian lifestyle... Hmmmm I believe that! NOT! also she manages to rubbish a gay church in London that the mentors did not approve of. How convenient! Asking the gays and lesbians on this site, would you/could you change your sexuality in order to be accepted??? Yeah I can guess the answer.

The Muslim .... Funnily enough we saw next to nothing of him throughout the entire series apart from when he was being portrayed as a bad guy for getting the "biker" (oh yeah I will get round to him!" to pray to Mecca with him

The Happy Family..... Sorry not convinced. Too twee! ohhhh didn't they all end up as the ultimate suburban wholesome family when the converted.

The Pub landlady .... Oh no! she is diagnosed with cancer.... but all is not lost because she gets the god botherers to bless her and lo and behold she is cured! Hallelujah praise be to Jeebers!

    And finally...

The Cynical Biker..... All the way along he was not going to be converted, the mentors treat him to a new set of false gnashers and all of a sudden he is a happy clapper! Now we never saw him on a bike or mention a bike....... Yet all the way through the series he was referred to as a HELLS ANGEL and he himself admitted this, yet in the final episode he was wearing a t-shirt with the slogan "SUPPORT THE OUTLAWS MC!". Anyone who knows anything about the HA will tell you that you would get shot if you were an angel who was seen in an OUTLAWS t-shirt.

    VERDICT------BOLLOCKS!!!!!!!!!!

never seen the movie...but personally, without even seeing the movie...i can say that i think religion is just a ploy*sp to conform people and make them more 'moral'. but throughout the ages we have taken it way to far in controlling peoples lives and saying what is truely right and wrong. religion is just another industry that is out to get mass amounts of people and money these days. so the fact that they made a movie that tapped into peoples emotional and personal issues in order to get more 'followers'...doesn't surprise me one bit.

Lithium, you may be interested in a Horizon episode called 'God on the brain' about the correlation betwen religious experiences and temporal lobe epilepsy. Richard Dawkins took part in the experiment and was uneffected, it was really interesting.

I only caught the first episode deefer. Wasn't too impressed with that, could tell from the beginning how things would turn out.

Also I can't understand how a belief can alter ones sexuality.
