Making money while unemployed?

So recently I lost my job, and am having some trouble finding another that's full time. I found a part time job, but it's not even gonna give me enough to pay rent and keep gas in my car.

Are there any ways that you know of to make a little extra money when your out of a job? I don't wanna be a whore, haha ... and selling drugs is out of the question at the moment.

Do blood banks pay for blood?

I am so depereate, and in such a horrible situation right now.

 

plasma and blood sales are typically availabe everywhere.

but me? i'd just get a couple more part time jobs.

 

KC - The problem is I need the money now.

I'm sure I could pick up another part timer or two ... but it takes employers so long to call you back, and then you have to wait the 2 weeks for your first check.

 

sell your plasma. just look up plasma "donation" offices in your area. i sold mine once for food money. it was a bit creepy for me, the office was full bums and addicts that looked at me like i was food.

 

My first reaction was to laugh, but that really isn't funny.

I will be doing that ... I hope there are some that are local.

 

can you bartend? I'm a bartender and I make great money in one night.. it kept me doing it for awhile.. you can live off tips you make for awhile till you get something better, and alot of places will train..

 

I have no 'professional' expirience bartending ... but If I could find a place that had traing, that would be AWESOME. I was also thinking about finding a job as a server, at a restaraunt. Tips do add up in a night.

 

I was making 200-300 in one night at this place that trained me.. you're very cute the girls will love ya.. you should try it.. just go in siked as hell and tell them you'd love to do it and most times they'll train.. if you like to drink I'm sure you know already what liqour goes with what to taste good.. it only took me a couple of days to fiqure it out.. and it was well worth it.. now I have a following so I can go to other bars and the people who like me will go to.. the hole in the wall ones are the best screw corporate.. I worked at buffalo wild wings as a bartender and hated it.. I like to express myself with what I wear and corporate places don't allow that..

I'll have to stop into some local bars and see if they offer training.


And while i'm downtown i'll see about hitting up a plasma center.

i made good tips at the other bar until they stopped putting me on the schedule..for absolutely nothing

well, if you need money *now* and can't wait to get hired or the couple weeks worth of work before the paycheck, a good way to scratch up some cash quick is things like blood donation, or have a garage sale one weekend to get rid of some of your stuff. I've known people that offered to do odd jobs for a weekend or afternoon, like mowing lawns for a few extra bucks.

Is there a day labor agency around you? My nephews have done this-they get a check at the end of the day.

It's not worth it. I've had a couple of friends work there when they were desperate...... and they truly overwork you, the work is ridiculously physical, and you always end up working with some lazy fucker... so you have to do all the work.

 

it may be shitty, but if you need money now i'd rather work hard for a day than spend a day sitting in a plasma center with 50 crackheads. besides, just be the lazy fucker and make your partner do all the work.


around here a big way to make some quick cash is to steal pop cans and then recycle them in michigan for 10 cents each. i've actually seen someone buy $60 worth of pop with food stamps, then pour it out and turn it in for cash to buy heroin
