You've let your leaders take you too far up their sleave of illusions and rhetoric. You had a great run with democracy, you were for many hundreds of years a place quite special. The great swathe of land that is ever western, dedicated to equality between men and capitalism, for what it's worth, is pretty much great for the general population especially when its early in the game and noone's dominating. Old europe was doing just that, countries trying to out-dominate each other, the industrial revolution came, the world got slightly smaller, railroads... the western world stabilised... the general standard of life improved. But now you had large scale businesses. Capitalism pretty much follows an exponential of rich get richer poor get poorer. All of a sudden some people got very rich, the world gets smaller, world banks begin to operate and in the new century the US accept a federal reserve. Wealth is now actively being directed away from the general public to those few families. Though its rapidly approaching a point where the dollar will experience hyperinflation... your country is upon the very brink of it and it rests in the hands of men like Ben Bernanke, and judging by his decisions... he almost seems to be willing it to happen. America's debt is crazy. George Bush has thrown a heavy punch to America. And as it all happens, america has become in love with their picture boxes... fox news being utterly ridiculous. neoconservatism philosophies sound like some essay of orwellian satire... yet they are the philosophies that dominate your government. the tv convinces the public that there is only 2 votes, which then makes it true. I don't know what's gonna happen with America before the next president is elected, but I'd say it doesn't even matter. There's no telling what things are gonna be like over there by then. There is now the ruling class, the middle class and the working class. the ruling class are in a position to eradicate the middle class... and I think they probably will given the chance... which might be the result of this hyperinflation diasaster. Somehow its almost as if the Iraq war was just a way to both weaken the country by making so much debt, and also enriching themselves at the same time... as they have made money at every war. So have hope for the future. the future of shit.
It's a global agenda. The US is merely being used as the trojan horse to bring in a world totalitarian system.
im sure most of the people on here already know this, and will agree and disagree with whatever points i have made as is their persuasion. i doubt that i will enlighten most who read... i simply right as i will to express how sad i am, and a recurring thought when im high. a random thought... so to speak
as you said, most people, at least the people who are likely to read what you just wrote, are already aware. what can we do about it? not much, really. so why worry? better to try and enjoy your life as much as you can and deal with hardship as it comes.
Yes, we should just eat our fast food burgers, have sex with as many people as possible, and pretend that everything is all right. Surely that will save us.
Don’t you think we know we’re caught on this runaway train but there’s no way to stop it shy of derailing the entire political landscape Hotwater
You have enlightened me beyond recognition! I will pick up my Trotsky books and march down those empty streets!
if that's what gives you enjoyment in life, go right for it. I don't see that we need saving from anything at this point though.
Yeah, I agree... No need to stress out about something that's way out of our hands. Might as well enjoy some good company, a smoke, and a beer instead.
I'm an apocalyptic and I welcome the collapse of western civilization. Every civilization will eventually fall anyway, and the American dream was always a lie. It was a lie promoted to Americans by their society. So now it seems a little less of a believable lie then it used to, largely because people are slightly (not much) better informed. The US will be mitigated towards a role as a member of several emerging economic blocks. The EU, India, and China.
I welcome the collapse of Western Civilization once I'm financially and materially secure, with a nice chuck on land somewhere. I don't really want Western civilization to go anywhere until then. (Unless that will give me an opportunity to pull out my Magnum and get myself some land the good old fashioned way)
I thought he was being sarcastic, but hard to tell on the internet. regardless, crying, worrying or panicking isn't going to do much, I'd rather focus on my own life and happiness than something that is way out of my hands. like lode, I welcome the collapse of modern day society and I can only hope the possible impending doom won't hurt the people I care about too badly.
All of you people can talk up about the fall of Western civilization all you want, yet you're going to be completely fucken miserable when it happens. The only people on this forum who might get by fine through it are HHB, Dilli, and others like them... who can actually be self-sufficient enough to produce for themselves. I love Western civilization. It lets me focus on the arts, it rewards intelligence, and it gives me freedom. There has never been a period of stronger social personal freedom in the history of civilization. Plus, you might be overestimating your fellow kind. Their fear of persecution and some weak dogma are practically the only things that are keeping them from killing each other...and you. My name is Inigo Montoya. You killed my father. Prepare to die.
