...but are those waves extremely accentuated for anyone else like they are for me? I'm just curious. When I trip it will hit me really hard for a while and then for a few seconds/minutes I'll feel in a completely unchanged state of mind. I get much less of these down to earth moments once I start thinking my way into my usual revelations and realizations, but for the most part they're still there. Anyone else experience something similar?

    :)

Yeah Terrence Mckenna talked about it too, how there are periods on LSD where you ask yourself "Is that it? Is it over already?" and then WHOOOOSH

I don't get it THAT pronounced, but I do go through little 10 minute breaks where I think to myself "Oh darn, I do believe I'm coming down" only to realize 2 hours later Ive been peaking again for the last 30 minutes.

It up and hits me on the back of the head when I think I'm just coming down nice and comfortably. Every time. And it's always a pleasant surprise.

Sometimes its almost saddening though. Its definitely a pleasant surprise when it starts kicking again but during its near upsetting. I think this happens to me most when I'm not occupied with something that requires a lot of attention.

yea one time I was tripping with these kids who were going crazy, and I thought I was not.... then they left the room, and I laid down and realized I was spinning like crazy

both times i've tripped, the "waves" have been very pronounced.

i'm glad for this- during the peaks of the waves i thouht "oh no this is way too much", but once it ebbs back its like a little break to regroup and prepare for the next one.

it also keeps you on your toes :)

Shrooms are extremely "wavy" for me, I'll find my ego does these cycles every few minutes or so, where I start at completely sober and everything just breaks further and further down until my mind hits the reset button, and I'm wondering where I've been for the last 10 minutes.

Acid is more of a timeless constant breakdown for me ;)

Ah yeah that is true. I'm sure without those breaks of sanity (or insanity if you find it that way :)) I'd have completely lost myself.
