YAY! i will be there from the 16th to the 23rd. my friends are going to Amsterjam, but i missed out on tix, so i am just going for the ride....looks like my airfare will be about $450 from NY. anyone with hotel suggestions, PLEASE let me know! i am rooming with 3 other ppl, so we need a super-cheap quad room. Anyway, anyone else here going during that time? also, if anyone has 2 extra amsterjam tickets, i'd love to know about it. i am supposed to be meeting up with a friend of a friend who lives there, whom i've communicated with through email. he said he'll give me the tour (i was there in 01, but it's a bit fuzzy now.....) btw.....BARNEY'S BREAKFAST BAR is an awesome place for breakfast and a bong. check it out if you're going. also, THE ROKERIJ was one of my favorite coffee shops. peace! thanks for the recommendations, magicallife.... for a minute, we had decided to stay at the cosmos hostel. it looked really cool online. but then we started checking out hotels, just for the hell of it, and it looks like we can get a quad room in a hotel for LESS $$ than the hostel. weird, huh? there are 4 of us going and we are REALLY strapped for cash, so we are trying to stay as cheaply as possible without staying TOO far from centraal station, etc. drteeth, i'd love to meet up with you! drop me a line! peace. hey! i'll be in amsterdam on the mar 16th and 17th too. and i'll be staying in flying pig. this will be my 2nd time there, and i dont think flying pig is far from the central station. in fact, it looks pretty near in the map!!
