In the previous week I smoked every day except Friday, and now I've found that I have a bit of a sore throat (it's not painful at all, but it feels like there's some small thing stuck in there) and I've noticed a tiny difference when swallowing food and liquids; it sort of feels like I need to push the food down harder because of this lump thing in my throat. Naturally I've presumed this to be the worst - cancer. Is this all normal or what? Note this was my first week that I've smoked every day in. If that even matters.

Also, I'm getting blood tested every once in a while for an acne medication that I'm using, and I was wondering if anyone knows if these tests can tell if I've smoked (because they're not specifically testing for THC) and if the people testing me can cause me any problems if they find out I have THC in my system (patient-doctor confidentiality?). These tests are to determine my liver functioning.

    Thanks

Sounds like your might just be sore from smoking. Just take a break for a few days and see if the pain goes away. If it hurts try taking some Ibuprofen which should take away the swelling and/or pain. I wouldn't think it would be cancer considering marijuana does not cause cancer. I would just try not to worsen the problem with more smoking or eating anything that could hurt your throat like chips.

I not sure about the blood test thing and detecting THC.

Your throat is irritated from the hot smoke, maybe even due to coughing while smoking. Take a break, take car of your throat (don't eat or drinkl too hot or cold foods and beverages).

What are you smoking out of? Maybe change method, invest in a glass pipe, to aid in smoke cooling, or a bong.

Doctors are supposedly not able to test for anything but what was agreed on, but even if that does not hold true, doctors cannot do anyhting with that information. If they ask, it is not to make you confess, it's more a preventive fact to avoid medicines that could react badly or even to find the cause for an ailment. Purely confidencial, in other words.

yeah just sounds like ur sore from smokeing do the things mentioned in the above posts & if the lump still dosent go away it might be due to stmoch acid splashing against ur throat..this happens when u lie down after eating & is very treatable
