When I am here, he is absent
When he is here, I am absent

All the darkness is gone, when I see the light.

Are you talking about the Buddha? (If I may ask...Or is this a private thing?)

He's prolly just eating greasy foods when you're absent, leave him a note and tell him he's ruining your health.

I appreciate your cynical humour Mothman, but I was trying to be serious.I'm in need of some dharma/sangha...Being as I am a terribly lapsed Buddhist, although I use that term advisedly.

I always thought of Buddhism as akin to a wafflist. It is this, but it is not this, is illogical.

Do you mean the one also known as Kabira? I have a book of his writings.

I agree. But Logic has limitations (for example- light is a particle or a wave?)
By the way, I am not Buddhist. I won't defend Buddhism. I do have my own observations/ conclusions where I feel Buddhism is impractical.

But can we just keep aside this religion part and enjoy the depth?

    Yes, same

So maybe you could expound on your thoughts here and help us understand what you are saying.

Can you imagine a lovesick wife, waiting for her husband?
and her joy when she sees him come home in evening?

The same feeling is expressed here

Until it all fades into either mediocrity or mindless tolerance.
