Haha I'm sure you probably know who this guy was. He was, sorry let me correct that. With his 3 Bat out of Hell Cd's and his voice, man, he is a legend! not was, but is.=]
Maybe you guys don't know him but thats fine, I want you to check him out. Apparently he sang so high that the recording machine in the studio broke.

On top of the voice are the songs. Jim Steinman who wrote all of the songs on "Bat Out of Hell" and "Bat Out of Hell II" is a fantastic song writer. I can allways tell one of his songs no matter who is singing it. He also wrote "Total Eclipse of the Heart" for Bonnie Tyler. He also wrote "It's all Coming Back to Me" by Celine Dion which to me sounds like a song that Meatloaf rejected. It even sounds like they used his backing band and put Celine Dion's vocals on it.

    Peace Out,

All those songs are great, but pretty cheesy :p

I can 100% hear the songwriting similarities though, so ta for that bit of info.

I first saw him in Rocky Horror Picture Show(One of the greatest movies of all time!), then my mom showed me "Paradise by the Dashboard Lights" and I fell in love! I have Bat Out Of Hell on Vinyl.

Me too, hehe. Officially belongs to my parents though :D Paradise by the dashboard lights is one of the songs that gets overplayed in all the bars here (as long as I live) so that song is kind a ruined for me by now.. but it was my fav of Meat Loaf.

^^I thought he was better in "Fight Club". Rocky Horror was cool too. I saw him in a small venue on the VH1 Storytellers tour a few years ago without all of the Pyro and Stage effects. He even puts on a great show in that format.

    Peace Out,
    Rev J
