I was thinking it would be cool to start a meditation group on here. Get people together and focus for a specific time every so often, or just say that we'll do something daily as a personal commitment or whatever and focus on say addressing some of the fears and increasing the love for the planet/humanity. Maybe we could even have different meditations for different things.

here's a pretty amazing site that will send you and is cool to connect with along those lines.

    anybody else interested?

jrnyman, I was just recently thinking it would be good to try some energy work with maybe one or two or so of you folks - but yes, it would be good to have some commitment for meditations...let us know what you have in mind, intrepid leader. :)

I'm on mountain time, and really anytime in the afternoon or evening works - I am teaching swimming lessons / taking a few classes in the mornings most of this summer on weekdays.
    weekends, basically anytime.

this is a great idea :]

I'm on Planet Xenon time. Well okay, I'm near Boston, Eastern time. The very best times for me are my train commute times - my evening commute is usually from around 6:15 to 7:20 PM. That might be a bit early for you Californians. But let me know what works for everybody else, and I'll see if I can manage it.

(I'm a transplanted Californian by way of Illinois. I grew up in Modesto, God help me, and as an adult lived in the LA area until I was 38. I miss the nice weather [*sigh*]. My avatar pic is a computer sketch I made from a memory of hitchhiking on a moonlit country road between Oakdale and Sonora when I was 20 years old.)

hey zen...like your computer sketch. I sure do miss those days of hitting the road thumb out and ending up, well, wherever. What freedom. My most memorable hike was from Ontario to Vancouver B.C.

Windy, I profer to you the hitchhiking championship. That was about, what, a 2000-mile hitch? All my hitching was within California. Longest one was about 550 miles, from Santa Barbara to Modesto. I shared a four-dollar YMCA room in San Jose the first night with a guy who had just been released from a psychiatric hospital. Next night in Sacramento I talked my way out of potentially being robbed and who knows what else, and slept next to a back/side entrance of a MacDonald's. Those were the days, all righty! LOL

So how was your Vancouver trip?

LOL!!! Yes, around 2,000 mi. I did stop off in Winnipeg for a few weeks and Calgary for a night or two. Met a guy in Winnipeg travelling to Vancouver. Thought hmmm, I wouldn't mind sittin' by the ocean for a bit. I wanted protection hitch hiking and he wanted a girl with him to get rides easier. Absolutely hated each other LOL. Didn't tell me he was hitching with a pole lamp. No kidding. One day while he was off the side of the road sleeping, I was sitting up against the knapsacks, under the pole lamp reading a book. Must've looked odd on that deserted stretch of highway. LOL. Some guy stopped and asked if he could take my picture. So I flashed him a purty smile and a peace sign and the picture ended up in a magazine. They say everybody has 15 minutes of fame. That was mine.....First people I met in Vancouver took me to their place, smoked some pot, and we shared a great big community bowl of ice cream. Met the MOST interesting people. And still am by the way :)

hmmm... well scheduling a single time might be a bit of a stretch but this is a good time to start learning about the dynamics of space and time. So no scheduled time for now... unless you guys want to of course then some of you can put something together. For now let's try something else. This is something I've been working on with myself for a while now and it helps tremendously in various ways.

Also it's been brought to my attention that there's already a meditation/yoga forum so I'm going to present this as more of an awareness tool. I'll present it in segments as far as reaching out, reaching in. The goal of this is connection, or the realization of a unity that already exists. :)

So yeah I'll get the first one up sometime today. It will be sort of a meditation, sort of a manifestation tool, sort of a healing tool... all of the above. Hope you enjoy. And thank you all for your participation!

um if you're on eastern time then 3 hours... the post where you asked me the difference is listed at 3:50pm my time.

And these "meditations" can be done at any time. Time and space are simply tools, blankets in which we find ourself. We can reach forward or backward as we want and we'll always find each other waiting. There are no limits. And we'll use that perception. :)

I meditate every day, usually starting sometime between 10-11pm eastern. I would definitely be open to something along these lines. I'll look for you all in my heart.
