I realize I've been on/off the forums the past 4 years however I keep coming back and when I do come back I see a lot of the people that were here when I used to post a lot. I'm having a moment....Kinda like the Cheers song: Making your way in the world today takes everything you've got. Taking a break from all your worries, sure would help a lot. Wouldn't you like to get away? Sometimes you want to go Where everybody knows your name, and they're always glad you came. You wanna be where you can see, our troubles are all the same You wanna be where everybody knows Your name. You wanna go where people know, people are all the same, You wanna go where everybody knows your name. I'm grateful I have a place I can go to and laugh with friends. Even when I'm gone for awhile. *sniff*
I've been here off and on since then, too. Oh, and on another note...when in Boston, visit the Cheers bars! =D It's awesome!
I used to live near Boston. Around the time I got my drivers license we moved. I never got to explore the city. Going to the Cheer's bar would of been indeed fun. :cheers2:
Most of my aliases have created for joke purposes and then abandoned. There have been a couple over the years that I've used regularly. I don't remember when I first joined Probably 2002ish. It was back in the old version of the forums. Out of the people who still post regularly in RT, I think maybe Pressed_Rat, Chief_Cowpie, Hippiehillbilly, Tree-Hugger, Bird_Migration and probably a few other people have been here longer. There may be more than that though since everybody is always using aliases.
considering as how 2008 was ten years ago, 10+4=14. been here about as long as pr myself. i don't know the exact year, as i think records only go back as far as the latest server host relocation, and when i joined was i think two or three of those back. i remember there was a lot of discussion about how the world was going to end in the year 2000, which hadn't happened yet at the time.
Member since 2010 here. I remember coming here with a friend named Duck. He no longer posts. We were friends from another forum for young adults and teens. He said to me that I would like this forum, but, he warned, it's mature adults, so they might not like the way you post. And over the years I've found that to be true lol. But, I'm not one to change my personality so you get what I give. and I've made some friends here and some enemies. I'm a bit different now, like when I first joined I remember being highly involved in the sex threads as you are when you're early 20s thought I knew it all. Got to realise that you can get to know people here, so now I just chat about life and things.
One day, I hope to be spam collector too. I'm still miffed I didn't get a mod job because I have bipolar. That's bloody outrageous and offensive!
Twice I Was Offered A "Mod Job"......And Twice I Politely Declined......I Felt Being In A Position Of Authority Would Ruin The Whole HF's Experience......I Made The Right Decision...... Cheers Glen.
