Why is it that I know all the men who are jackasses?? It just kills me that *not all btw* a lot of guys are the type of guys to talk to women like they are stupid... like they don't know what is really going on around them. I know a guy who likes to manipulate and lie to get what he wants, more lie by omission, but whatever. Is it just me, or are 75% of men like that?
75% seems like quite a large margin. Maybe 75% seem like assholes, but I bet at least a good majority don't mean to be assholes and only come off as one because they aren't really realizing what they're saying. Studies have shown though that women tend to rely more on their emotions and men tend to rely more on analysis of situations. That could be why men you meet seem to think you don't know what you're talking about, which I'm sure isn't the case. If you're earning a reputation as the drunken fuck, it might be time for a change in areas of friends, drinking habits, or even sex. I'm not saying your lifestyle is bad, but if being called the drunken fuck bothers you, it'd make quite a statement if you made strides to stop seeming like that to others. I don't mean to come off as offensive at all with anything I've posted here. I'm sure you're a great person who's just been dealt with meeting some shitty men, as there are quite a few of them. I'm just trying to find possible solutions to these issues you've presented.
so basically, what zerox is saying is that yeah, men are assholes, but they might have a point. you GUYS! lol.
Unfortunately I didn't know that's how I was being talked about until last night to be honest, if I knew that I wouldn't have been used like that... It's one of those situations where you find out what people really thinks about you, what's sad is that I thought I've known this person and have lived with them for 2 years now. I thought we were having sex because we were having sex, (not all the times were while drinking actully, but that's what was said about me for some reason I yet to discover) I'm glad I did. Now I can snip it in the bud now instead of continuing too look stupid without knowing it.
Naw, it's a little more complicated, I was lead of the assumption of one thing, come to find out that's now really how it was... with you know who. I didn't think he was that kinda person to be honest.
how does this qualify as women's issues. this seems like a relationships thread to me. Enraged Angel, I'd think twice about it all. It could be you "friend" did not say what he really thinks, but rather succumbed to some kind of peer pressure to say what he thinks the cool thing to say is. Men often say the opposite of what they really think. i know I've done it.
I dont' know what to think about it... to be honest. I'm tired of it. Either way it's disrespectful to both parties that he talked to and about. I'm not too happy with it either way it was intended. Unfortunately I can't pay my rent now and I'm stuck in some shit.
So maybe you should just stick with it until you can pay your rent? Seriously do what is best for you and your kids. Don't let someone else make life hard for you.
*sigh* it does sound like anger and resentment talking in a place of convenience. everyone breaks under the pressure one way or another.
every now and then it can be good to consider what men have to say, sometimes it's a lot simpler and clearer than what women perceive.
lol. i think her "men are jackasses sometimes" isn't all about what he said but how he chose to say it.
Trust me, there was no confusion. He told someone he accidentally had sex with me because he was drunk, no misunderstanding... it was typed, so no he said she said.... so it was very simple and clear.
ah, sorry i understand now i was just speaking generally, i didn't mean to apply it to this circumstance.
Remember, for every guy out there women think are assholes, there's a woman out there that men think are crazy
Yea, I know what you mean though. Woman are crazy because men are assholes, men are assholes because women are crazy, it's all just one vicious cycle.
