Well, I have been doing a fair amount of psychedelics since I was 14 years old. Last year and the year before, I did alot. I would eat acid or mushrooms once a week, sometimes more, sometimes together. I have done just about every psychedelic substance. For the past year I have only done psychedelics a handfull of times, toned it down abit for college. Anyways, bla bla bla, last time I tripped was on mushrooms which was a little over a month ago I think, Im not sure. But in the past few months, I have been noticing like ridiculous mood swings. Ill be super happy for a while then pretty down for a while.... for absoultely no reason at all. I dont have a problem with it, its just new to me.

Your personal brain chemistry is just a subsequent effect dependant upon the nature of your awareness and your energetic stabilities and imbalances.
    Search your subconscious.

I don't suppose there's a history of bipolar disorder in your fam? It would involve really extreme mood swings, like utter elation and then almost suicidal depression. Other than that idk, it sounds like your okay though. Just accept the feelings when they come, let them complete their cycles and embrace them like they're a lost child. Maybe look up different types of meditation; there seems to be a meditation for each identifyable emotion. Like anger, just let the anger be. Find a quiet room and let the anger be anger. If you feel like beating pillows, do it. It can help engage it.

anyway I don't really know what I'm saying cuz I don't really know your sitch. but these can help maybe. At least you may be able to separate yourself enough from the cycles of the mind. They still occur, but apart from you, like a street with traffic going by while you are calm under a tree. They still run their course but they don't constitute you.

well no need to decide anything yet :). maybe it's a girl thing in your family and your mood swings are unrelated. *shrugs, then officiously hugs Prone420*

or it could be the fact that you induced psychosis to your prematurely developed brain at the age of 14

Really though, you say you're in college. How stressed out are you?
Maybe you need to take some down time to just breath, avoid psychedelic ingestion, and relax.

This you might want to look into and consider as a possible explanation

True. I wouldn't take it back though. My early teenage years were so wonderful. Semester is almost over so that's a relief. School is stressfull, might not be for me. I hate college.

maybe u should take some time off from school. i myself am not ready to devote my time to college. a bright side to waiting is that most colleges drop the price significantly after u turn 24. if u hate wat ur doing how can u enjoy anything? im not in school cuz i know i wont enjoy it. y do that to yourself. thats my opinion.

Yeah, I would recommend some time off of school, if you can afford it.

I regret going straight to college instead of taking a year/two years off

If you take time off it's hard to start going back again.
I recommend sucking it up and just pulling through. I know it's hard, and I'm not being insensitive because I can completely identify with what you are talking about. I really did take a year off, and it's so hard now, I wish I had never left. Really analyze your feeling and understand that they just come and go, figure out what you want from life, march down the path that will take you to it, and don't look back.

Wow, that sounds strangely similar to that bs $cientology commercial.

Sure if they're slight swings in mood, that could be normal. But if its serous enough that it effects your life its not normal. You could have bi polar disorder, aka manic depression... manic= being overly happy, energized and optimistic, depression= sad, sluggish, feeling like shit. One of the few dangers of psychedelics is that it can bring out latent mental disorders. Maybe one of your parents was bipolar, and genetically predisposed you to it.

    definitely true.
unfortunately i know this from experience.. my family is all pretty well messed up, i've always been the only one that's been fairly normal in the head.. but after a good while of lucy i've really noticed a good number of early signs of schizophrenia.
not the voices telling me what to do and shit, but i see things that i know for a fact aren't there. and a lot of times when i'm starting to fall asleep i start to feel them try and touch me and i hear them trying to talk to me. scares the hell out of me.
anyway, despite this shit, i still feel i totally have it under control, and it's actually much easier to handle when i've been able to trip recently.

you never know if it's just time in your life for things to show up, because really our age (i just turned 20 like a month ago) is prime time for a lot adult disorders to show. i wouldn't blame lucy until you know that it hasn't been stress or just being very unhappy with your situation.
if it becomes something that you feel needs to be diagnosed and/or treated, take a break from lucy until you get your head on straight, and are settled with medication or therapy, or whatever you choose.
    but most importantly, good luck.

I would definitely not wright off psychedelics so quickly. There is a reason why doctors say that drugs are bad. Bombarding your brain with foreign chemicals is not a good thing. Having taken those chemicals, you actually change the cell that it comes into contact with. Ever so slightly but true non the less. Also, if you understand how neurons work in the brain you might get an idea that neurons can get stuck in a certain path caused by the firing of odd neurons while under the influence of certain drugs. The body will adapt to the environment when it needs to. So having those odd neurons fired repeatedly causes an altered default neuronal pathway. That is where the idea of ECT (Electro Convulsive Therapy) comes from. ECT is used to treat bipolar/ manic depressive amongst other things. It essentially causes all the neurons to fire randomly therefor "reseting" them to their previously default pathway.

One way you might be able to help this type of thing is to lay off the drugs for like 6-12 months. Take vitamins and exercise. Live healthy for a little, your body deserves it.

Just for everyones information, I do use drugs and I love them! BUT there is a right way to use them. Learn the right way and you will be fine. I am quick to defend drugs, trust me. Amongst drugs users tough, I want to help them understand the right way to have fun without repercussions.

    Peace...
